The Painter 11 Software from Corel is a software application for digital artists. Its digital art tools allow you to experiment with color theory composition, and brush strokes: without the toxins, mess, and expenses associated with traditional painting.
It features full support for the entire line of Wacom digitizers, including the Cintiq interactive pen displays and Intuos drawing tablets. The software is able to simulate different paper textures, adding an extra level of depth to your digital artwork.

I'm disappointed to find that it will not allow you to tap the arrow keys adjusting the color on the fly as you paint. Once you touch the cursor to the canvas, tapping the arrow keys will only move the selected layer.
Say the color isn't quite right, you will need to reposition the cursor back on either of the targets in the Color Palette. I find this to be no less painstaking than the version I already own, because it's hard not to bump the targets out of position. It seems to me, after losing the precise location of the target, why bother with the arrow keys.

I'm a photographer who wanted to add another dimension to my work so I bought Corel Painter and have not regretted it. You can start out with some auto modes to build your paintings based on your own photos but also quickly learn to do detailed hand work yourself. I'm learning so much more about art this way. This program is powerful and gives you the ability to create some very beautiful work.
