Gitzo GB0330 Weekend Fishpole - 3-Section Locking Aluminum Boompole
The Gitzo GB0330 Weekend Fishpole is a 3-section, lightweight aluminum boompole that measures 2.59' (79cm) when collapsed and 6.56" (200cm) when expanded. The pole is intended to mount various field and studio production microphones; such as shotgun and stereo microphones. All three sections lock in place and Gitzo's Anti Leg Rotation system helps stabilize microphones. The pole is constructed of a durable lightweight aluminum with a maximum load capacity of 4.50 lb (2kg), and features a mat black finish.

Years ago, when I started recording my videos I used a broom stick to hold a really cheap mic. Now, after learning a thing or two, I own a much better microphone and this little boompole that does wonders.

This product does its job well. It gives a good distance and is surprisingly lightweight. I record semi-pro film and this has come in handy for a big project I'm working on.

In my opinion, the whole thing should be padded with weather-proof foam or some thing to avoid 'the clang'.

Works fine. My only complaint is that I couldn't end up running the audio cable down through the pole like it supposed to be able to do. The hole at the end doesn't allow for any jack size to pass through.
