Comments about Panasonic BT-LH1760W 17" Widescreen HD/SD LCD Video Monitor:
I am using these as directors monitors on a TV show. 1760 and much better that the 1700's. No fan noise, blacks are much richer, very happy with the 1760's performance.

Comments about Panasonic BT-LH1760W 17" Widescreen HD/SD LCD Video Monitor:
This is a beautiful monitor, however it has a major design fault.
In this new model Panasonic dispensed with the fans so it is noiseless, that's great however it now relies on convection to draw air in between the LCD and the backlight to keep it cool.
Trouble is that now it brings in dust in as well and it gets lodged on the backlight, so it looks like sensor dust.
I have two of these monitors and wouldn't buy another, i have never ever seen dust inside the dozens of older BT-LH1710W models i have hired all around the world.
You can imagine how much angst this creates when your never quite sure if the dust is on the camera sensor or the monitor, the only way i can be certain is to always have a BT-LH1710W on hand to check...
The older monitor the BT-LH1710W is also very good so my recommendation is too buy this one, and save yourself the extra grand and ongoing cleaning costs....
