I am always a little negative about covering gear in rubber. It is designed a certain way, it is a shame to cover it up. That said, if you need some extra protection from drops or bumping this case seems like it should help. It provides a nice bumper all around the recorder while leaving the mic area open and free.

I am always nervous about dropping my gadgets and cracking the housing. I also hate when things get scratched up. This jacket is very protective and allows me to relax and not worry so I can concentrate on the recording. I have only used it a few times but have not had any problems using the buttons or the jacks.

Fits well. Will definitely protect H2 unit. Access to all controls. Won't fit in pouch case with silicon jacket on, but not a big issue.

Highly recommend. For the price it gives you some additional confidence that it will not break if for some reason it gets handled roughly or dropped. And once you get used to it, it is pretty cool looking. I also like the fact when your fingers wrap around it it grips well and gives you a secure feeling that you won't easily drop it. Slips on and off fairly easily with a little practice. I'm glad I bought it.

I recently received my H2 and the silicone jacket. I installed the jacket. Fits good and should provide some protection if the H2 is dropped. Thankfully I haven't dropped it yet, so I can't speak to whether this works. The jacket leaves enough holes to allow proper use of the H2.

Doesn't protect the screen, makes text illegible. Good to protect H2 from minor scratches.

I bought this jacket for my Zoom H2 as an extra level of insurance against dropping it, knocking it over in use, and any of the other accidents that seem to happen in real life use. It goes on and off easily, doesn't add much in bulk, and seems to add a needed level of shock resistance. I don't worry about the unit in this cover.

As clumsy and accident prone as I am this protective cover is a must have item. It protects against scratches and possible dents and dings.

The H2 delivers excellent sound. The only problem I can find is the H2's light plastic build. For this reason, I highly recommend the Silicone jacket. It gives the unit a little extra "survivability" in the field.

I have 3 Zooms that I have these covers for and they work great. It adds a level of protection to the unit incase dropped. (Fortunately, I have not needed to test this protection so far.) Also, in environments where I am not the only one with a Zoom, I have tended to be the only one with the covers and it makes it easier to ID who owns which unit.

The only negative feature on the cover is that its a little more difficult to change the batteries on the H2 than without it.

I immediately put this cover on my Zoom H2 to give it reasonable protection. Although I am very careful with my equipment, I do loan it occasionally and the Zoom H2 is very much a portable device, so the additional shock protection is a good idea. It does NOT limit the use of the device in my opinion. While the silicone is translucent rather than clear, you can make out the text beneath if you need to and besides you will know the very few controls after 10 recordings!

As advertised. Snug fit, firm gel-like feel to it. Unless you know you're never going to drop your H2 (right), or if you use it outdoor at all, there's no reason not to buy this. Brian

Slip it on and safe yourself from breaking the H2. Even with the jacket, the H2 still fits in the carrying case.

fits like a glove to protect my Zoom H2. The only drawback is that the buttons are not so easy to see through the opaque silicone. a clear case or window would be better.
