This is a great case that fits my camera. I wanted one with a flip top for easy access - local stores didn't carry them. This case is well constructed; the only downside is that the latch fits into a hole for more positive latching. I would have preferred a pure magnetic latch for quicker camera access.

I bought the Canon sx210 IS and this case was the one which was supposedly paired with it. It was not a good fit and did not protect the camera as it rattled around it in. I returned it and bought the Tamrac 3814 which was a snug fit and protected the camera much better. The camera is essentially a pocket camera and the Canon 3100 is definitely not a "pocket" case.

The case fit the Powershot SX120 IS very snugly. I wish there was a bulge for the lens end of the camera so that it would slip all the way in more easily.
There was not as much padding on the inside as I hoped. As a small-size, rugged case for the camera, it is perfect. There is no room for batteries or extra memory. Just the camera.
