Although it is suggested to use a f/2.8 and above lens, I found it very usable for f/5.6 lens.
For manual focus, though it is not as good as split prism, it offer quite good difference between in focus and out of focus image.
Another thing you cannot get with split prism is that this product will not make any trouble for light metering.
The tools to change the screen is provided, the process is quite easy and smooth.

I found that I could focus just as well with the standard screen--i.e., this screen did not improve my ability to focus on what I wanted to be sharp. This screen does make it easier to see the depth of field, showing out-of-focus details more readily. In dim light I have trouble, though, as it's probably a stop darker than the standard clear screen. It's nice to have, but I'm probably going to stick with the standard screen for most of my photography.
