Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer (Early 2009):
This was the top of the line model from last year. The price now is an incredible savings (over $800.00 less than Apple had it listed new last year). I'm thinking about buying another one. Bright monitor, crisp clean display, lots of storage space with the 1TB hard drive, and 512 video, You will not be disappointed with this machine! Great Value, for an incredibly fast machine! Get the mini display port adapter and you can run a second display.

Nicest computer I have ever owned. I have used macs in the past, but nothing compare to this. The screen is unbelievable! I couldn't really imagine needing a computer any faster either. Make sure you pay the extra money for the better graphics card though. Plus it's a mac so it works like your brain does. I would highly recommend for any one, especially those who currently use Windoze.

Finally decided to purchase this machine, been using it for a week works great. It works well after moving everything with time machine, i would recommend the video cable for dual monitors. Also I found a app called shades to lower the brightness to a comfortable level.

I bought this iMac to augment my laptop for photo editing. So far it has been great. The screen is gorgeous, and it runs smoothly and quickly. I have even successfully installed Windows based CAD software on it via Parallels. Great bang for the buck!

This is an awesome buy...
This iMac was the top of the line, selling for much more than this, before the new wide-screen models were released.
This machine is just perfect. Good power, lots of fast DDR3 ram, exceptionally vivid and sharp 24" display, lots of storage (1Tb) and great 512Mb graphics card.
I am a web developer/designer/photograph. This is my best machine to date, and it didn't break my wallet...
Only con: I hate the small keyboard... would have preferred the big version with numeric pad on the side...

So I finally broke down and sprang for a new computer. The iMac is fantastic! I'll be using it mostly for home computing and a little photo editing. It is fast sleek and the screen is incredibly sharp. As far as a down side. I can't seem to find one yet. [...]This computer is my second purchase with B&H and I look forward to doing more business in the future with B&H.Brian

Comments about Apple 24" iMac Desktop Computer (Early 2009):
Typical Apple product; well made, nice to look at & works flawlessly out of the box.
With all the photos and video I take, the 1 TB hard drive will be well used.
I also really like the worry free Time Machine backups to my external LeCie hard drive-- specifically for those photos and video.
Some people have a hard time with screen glare, but it's not been so much a problem for me.

Hey, its a Mac: does it all, does it well and doesn't get too fussy. My only "complaint" is the monitor is so big that I'm seeing way too many flaws in my work. I consider this a "must have" photographic tool.

Its a Mac - does eveerthing better than a PC. I'm a photographer and photo educator, the 24" iMac is a wonderful tool for both my professions. The 24" screen is so large I may have to change my glasses...tilting my head too far back to use bottom bifocal - but this is not a problem.B&H sold the iMac at the same price as my college bookstore, [...] This is a win-win buy. This is a professional tool and I'm very happy as it's new owner.

I use this for video & Photo & CG editing, for Motion picture, it works great, I render a lot and I normally do it at night while I’m sleeping, and on this you can't just turn the screen off, but other than that its great!
