Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
I use it in a three-level home for network, printer- and disk-sharing and remote audio-streaming. Easy to setup and manage, very reliable in use.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
The Airport Extreme was very easy to setup a secure wireless network. There are many nice features with this product like the ability to connect a printer and/or hard drive to share on the network and the ability to setup a separate guest wireless network. If you're a Snow Leopard user, the Airport Extreme supports sleep proxy which allows your computer to go into standby mode and the AE will wake your computer if any other computer accesses any of it's shares (iTunes, iPhoto, files, printer).

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
Amongst the N routers with dual band and usb for external drives or printers, there was no better router for my home network. I own a 17 inch macbook pro and an emac. This router replaces my old extreme base station and is noticeably faster with a questionable increase in range. I question the range because it is not consistent.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
I bought this as a replacement for a Netgear router which I kept having to reset. Very helpful to have a dual band router. I haven't had to reset it once. Only negatives are that there's no web interface to manage the device and no support for dynamic DNS.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
Easy installation. Works well so far (only had it for a few weeks). Using it with a Mac network for internet, Airtunes and wireless (Epson Inkjet) printing.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
I have this router on the ground floor hard wired to a Windows PC. I use the wireless option for 2 Macs upstairs and 2 Windows PC's. The wireless option reaches far enough to have an excellent connection. I have used other brands and they did not reach as far as this one does. The setup isn't very difficult. I would guess the setup hard wired to a Mac is even more straight forward.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
I set up a new wireless network with an iMac, Windows XP machine, and iPhone in about 10 minutes. The speed and stability of the network have been impressive and the setup was very easy. Quality and ease of operation, typical Apple. I'm very happy with my decision.

Easy sharing of a network disk and printer or, if you choose, Time Machine.
Simultaneous two way communication.
802.11n, backward compatible.
I know this is all boilerplate, but these features increase my network capabilities.
You might have some frequency interference problems to adjust.
PS Never had a problem with B&H.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
I upgraded from a Linksys WRT54GS because I wanted N and the dual-band feature meant my N laptop and my housemates G laptop wouldn't have to share bandwidth on our local network. Like any Apple product, setup was a piece of cake and we had a secure system up and running in minutes. Compared to the Linksys, setup it was a breeze and Apple makes it something even my computer-challenged mom could handle. It seemed a bit expensive at first (compared to a basic single band router) but after a bit more research I found the price to be reasonable. Oddly there are only 3 ethernet port outputs but I only need 3 anyway so no worries.
It's a nice piece of equipment and if you like Apple stuff or need easy setup I'd recommend it.

Comments about Apple AirPort Extreme Base Station:
The dual-band Airport Extreme Base Station is a worthwhile upgrade for those who have both 802.11g and 802.11n devices on their wireless network. With this base station, I get top speed out of my Macbook's Sonnet Aria Extreme N - 802.11n Wireless Mini-PCIe Card running on the 5GHz channel while my older 802.11g devices perform well on the 2.4GHz channel.
I replaced an earlier 802.11g Airport Base Station and it could not have been more easy. Same trouble-free operation as the earlier Apple Base Station.
