The Visible Dust Zeeion Blower combines newly-developed, patent pending technologies to remove dust and keep your image sensor clean. The Silicon-RX construction of the blower allows opposite charging of the air molecules blown out to the surface, neutralizing static charges and reducing instances of dust reattaching to your photo equipment. Specialty filters at less than 20 microns in size are placed at both the intake and outtake points of the blower to prevent the introduction of everyday dust, quartz, and sand debris. Coupled with a unique, one-way valve and soft cap tip to prevent accidental damage to digital imaging sensors, the Zeeion Blower is the perfect cleaning solution for your digital SLR, lenses, and other electronic equipment.

We bought this blower thinking it was constructed with ESD safe materials and found that not to be the case. The body of the material does hold a charge in the order of 5,000-10,000 volts without handling. If you handle it or rub it slightly against anything the charge quickly builds up to 15,000-20,000 volts.
So the material is not ESD safe, nor anti-static safe.
However, in fairness, for their intended use on camera lenses, it should be ok since cameras are exposed to human body charges that can exceed 50,000 volts. This is like when you drag your feet on a carpet on a dry day, then touch a grounded receptacle like a light switch and see an arc of static electricity jump from your finger to the switch.
The main feature I see of this blow bulb is that the intake air comes from the rear of the bulb through a filter. Then when the bulb is squeezed, the air outlet also has a filter, so the air is very clean and you avoid any possibility of blowing out dirty air, possibly with a particle that can damage/scratch the lens being cleaned.
We purchased it for cleaning optics in an environment where the hardware is very sensitive to ESD damage and 5000 volts would certainly damage the hardware. From the classical industry definition of ESD/Static Safe, this device is not.

Remove dust as it should, do not know if the filter works but I think it is better than the normal blower

Comments about Visible Dust Zeeion Blower Sensor Cleaner:
I thought a blower is a blower, that was until I purchased a sensor scope and actually could see the dust that I was blowing on to the sensor. My other blower does not have a filter on both ends, but the Zeeion blower does and that makes all the difference. Save time, save sensor swabs, save sensor cleaner, get the Zeeion blower and stop blowing dust on to your sensor it is a no brainer.

Comments about Visible Dust Zeeion Blower Sensor Cleaner:
I was hoping that this blower would remove dust and lint from my sensor (D7000) and the focusing screen on my FM3a. Unfortunately, none of the larger dust particles moved at all. Using a clean microfiber cloth on the focusing screen easily moved off the particles without any solvent or wetting solution. A[...] Overall, not the best solution.

Great blower - no dust.

This blower slows me down, but the deliberation seemingly makes me more effective at removing dust particles. Combined with the very portable dust-attracting pad my task is done more rapidly.

Comments about Visible Dust Zeeion Blower Sensor Cleaner:
I've used many blowers in the past and didn't realize what I've been missing. All of the research and development that went into this simple looking blower is worth every penny you pay for this. It's actually a bargain even at it's high price for a blower. I've never been completely satisfied with professional cleanings that I've paid money for. After using this blower my sensor was actually completey free of any particls whatsoever. Nice.....I'll never go back to another type of blower again.
Comments about Visible Dust Zeeion Blower Sensor Cleaner:
I understand the theory about keeping the bulb from bringing dust in but all the filtration seems to slow the air down so much that this blower can only dislodge the very lightest dust.
I did find it helpful after cleaning my sensor I spotted on small piece of dust in a corner. The Zeeion did get it out and I didn't have to worry about introducing more dust into the camera. So, given that, I'm bumping my rating to 4 stars because it did what it was designed to do. I just wish it was a stronger airstream.

I use the Zeeion Blower to clean the sensor on my Nikon D-80 camera. It seems to work quite well. I thought it would have more force. I like the technology imployed in the product. It is small enough to carry in my camera bag. It does a pretty good job.

This is a great product. While it isn't cheap, it does a very good job of removing the dreaded sensor dust. There are videos on VisibleDust's web site that demonstrate the proper use.

I never liked the thought of blowing dust unto my cameras sensor with regular bulb blowers. The filtering with this product reduces the anxiety of propelling dust on my sensor.
Comments about Visible Dust Zeeion Blower Sensor Cleaner:
As far as I can see it has cleaned better than anything else I have used. I have only had it a little over a week but it really works.
