Blu-Ray Player is GREAT. My first. However, I expected I'd be able to wirelessly download movies via the internet and wirelessly stream music from my computer.
EHHHHHH - WRONG -
Sony has different models that allow movie streaming from NETFLIKs, AMAZON, etc. without that pre-loaded software your stuck. As to music, it will recognize Photos with USB Flash Drive loaded into the USB Port, but the player doesn't communicate with your computer.
WHY - Because you need a DNLA CERTIFIED Computer -
I called Sony's help line, which is how I learned that I needed a DNLA certified computer to stream Music to the Blu-Ray Player . . .Sony's Tech Support Staff is seriously lacking in their people skills to say nothing of their lack of ability to listen . . . but enough of them!
HOWEVER
My solution, since I have FIOS by AT&T (and my computer is an older non DNLA Certified model)is to add the FIOS DVR Media Recorder (an extra $10/month), download their Media Manager Software from the Internet and NOW, I can stream MP3's and JPEG's from my (non-DNLA)computer via the wireless router WITHOUT the expense of a Media Player. I am however SOL regarding my desire to connect to NETFLIK's.
But the Blu-Ray Player itself is GREAT! Glad I bought it but you do need to be patient with setting up the wireless router - the manual is less than straight forward, fortunately for me the FIOS Tech Staff was a big help.

Sony Blu Ray
Remote does not have a reject button. Blu-ray discs do not play from the last place played. If you hit stop the disc reloads and starts from the beginning.

This is my second Sony Bluray player of the 500 series. The wireless adapter connected perfectly with my Linksys router with WPA encryption. The drawback is no Netflix or any other online service (but I knew that before purchasing and it was not a feature I needed). The plus is that it detected my computers and accessed the Photo folder on the computer, so I can watch slide shows straight off the computer. Picture quality is great as it is with most BD players. The upscaling on DVDs is suberb. I have not detected any artifacting from either of my Sony players.I wish Sony would make thier BD players able to play SACD and DVD Audio disks. That would make the players perfect for my needs.

We connected the player to a Sony 46" HD TV and started with viewing Planet Earth. The clarity is absolutely dazzling.
Haven't worked through the instructions for transferring photos through the wireless feature, but viewing high resolution images using a thumb drive was simple and intuitive. This is the best way to view photos, by far.

This is my first Blu ray player. I have used DVD, VCR, etc prior.
The quality is great! It is teamed up with Sony 46" Bravia HDTV with 120H refresh rate, and Sony Surround sound system.

I'm a huge Sony product fan and this Blu-Ray player will keep me buying Sony products. The only flaw that I can see is that the remote does not have an eject control for the DVD, really stange. Other than that, I was able to hook up wirelessly to the internet and updated the player right out of the box. Easy setup, had all the features I was looking for. Great product, highly recommended.

Comments about Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Disc Player:
I have never had a Sony product I did't like. The BD player is no exception to my sony products. I am having a little difficulty getting the wireless conection to work, but I'm sure it is just me. One thing to note, it does take longer then usual to start up, maybe it is just a BD issue but then again this is my first BD player. Also, you may have to go into set-up to get it to run at its max performance. I had to manually set it for 1080I for my tv, but it may do it on its own for newer tv's. Connections are very easy, even for technically challenged individuals.

Comments about Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Disc Player:
The unit plays Blu-Ray disks beautifully and is very easy to set up. I was disappointed in the BD-Live part because it's not easy to set up. A disk is required and is somewhat complicated to log on to. The wireless connection is not real simple to set up to your broadband system.

Comments about Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Disc Player:
This is an excellent player overall, and the clarity obtained from BD discs of new movies (rather than of movies where they are working from crumbling 70 year old film stock) is remarkable. My only complaints are petty, and probably unavoidable. There is no Eject button on the remote (I guess they assume you'll have to walk to the machine anyway), and the Eject button on the machine is not fashioned in a manner that is convenient. To get the best results, you need an HDMI cable, which is not supplied since they are very expensive, and Sony doesn't know if you need a 3 foot, 6 foot, 12 foot, etc. cable. Overall, however, highly recommended.

Comments about Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Disc Player:
My first Blu-ray player was simple to set up and the image/audio results were stunning - like taking the plastic off the screen. I have the player attached to the HDMI port of a Sony Bravia 42" HDTV. The wireless is connected to an Apple AirPort with WPA2 Personal security. The drivers asked to be updated as soon as the wireless connection was made. If driver updates are going to be a common occurrence for Blu-ray players, I am glad I purchased the wireless model (note: I live overseas so the Netflix streaming feature was of no interest to me). The family noticed an improvement in DVD playback as well so our old DVD player is starting to gather dust. Side-by-side, the the Blu-ray player seems to put off significantly less heat than the Sony DVD player. If I have a gripe, it is that the extra interactive features available on some Blu-ray disks require extra memory (USB thumb drive). As inexpensive as memory is, it seems reasonable that Sony would have put a GB or two onboard.

The reproduction is excellent.
Ordinary DVDs played on this unit are enhanced a bit.
To play blu rays that are 1080p, you need to set the video to 1080i, else no picture. I don't know if there's a difference in quality because of that, but the resolution is excellent.(provided your TV is up to par)
Comments about Sony BDP-S560 Blu-ray Disc Player:
I waited for this model because wireless was going to be so much easier to set up in our house than a very, very long ethernet cable. It was worth the wait! The WiFi setup was simple, and we have been very happy with the video and audio quality we are getting from both our DVD collection and our (now growing) BD collection. A friend who works with A/V products suggested this make and model, and pointed out the deal available from B&H. We're happy with it, and he is still a friend.
