I use this switch to add square footage to the viewing area for my personal laptop and my work laptop. It allows you to set up dual monitors for 2 laptops or just share a monitor with 2 desktops. Also, only one keyboard and mouse is needed to control both PC's. The overview for the product states you can listen to music on one PC while working on another using the audio cables. I have not found this to be the case. If I start music playing on one PC and switch to work on the second, the sound cuts off from the 1st PC.

I found that the 2-Port USB KVM Switch was not compatable with my ver. of windows 7 64bit. On first installation it was working for a couple of days than my mouse and keyboard stopped working. After a reboot windows stated that it could not install the unknown USB driver so I had to replace it with my old KVM switch and both my mouse and keyboard started working again. Notified Trendnet and received an RMA with no hassle what so ever. I will continue to do businness with TRENDnet because of there swift response and courtesy.
