After extensive research between the Bose Companion 2 Series II and the Creative T20's I opted for the Creative. They have an incredibly deep, bassy sound, and good mid-levels. There is a knob where you can manually adjust the Treble and Bass. I have a 1-bedroom apartment with a medium sized living room. These fill my apartment very nicely when hooked up to either my TV or my Laptop, and sound great with video games. These prove that you do not need a subwoofer when you have good speakers, most of the time I use them with the bass turned almost all the way down and it still sounds deep and fantastic with great mid and high range.
I also bought these speakers because I am an electronic musician. They offer an amazingly clear sound and are a big help when I am mastering my tracks. I can hear every instrument clearly, and all the electronic noise and blips that I mix into my music is crystal clear, as clear as headphones.
They speakers really will do it all, their only downside is that if you set them up across the room, you have to walk over to manually adjust their volume; I'm sure this could be fixed if you bought a unit to hook them into.
The bottom line is:
Great sound clarity and deep bass at a great value. I would absolutely buy again.

They are ok, good. Not great, not impressive but decent. Excellent for a small space or low volume like a work but still want to hear the music clearly. The bass ports on top really do move some air, and make a 6x8 cubicle a party zone, that's for sure. But don't buy these if you're super serious about sound and thump. These should really be $40-$50 speakers.

I wanted good sounding speakers, but I didn't want two big speakers on my computer desk. I took a look at these Gigaworks T20's and ordered them right away.
One of the things I like about these speakers is they have a Bass and Treble contol. Most speakers I looked at did not have that.

They're "ok." Probably woulda been a better buy at $50-$60.
The Bose were $10 more. I'm kickin' myself I didn't spend the extra $$ for more product. Oh well.

I had a pair of Creative speakers for about 5 years before they finally started rattling whenever the audio was to high. I just upgraded to these. Really like the size and power. Elegant design.

I have a couple pairs of these speakers, and they're worth every penny. They are used in a noisy wood-working shop and they deliver clear sound through the noise. Decent bass frequency from these little speakers.

These Little Speakers REALLY have a BIG Voice!
I purchased 2 pairs of these compact little gems to run with my wife's and my Mac G-5s (to replace our worn out Cyber Acoustic speakers).
The GigaWorks T20's produce great sound without a bulky (and in my mind unneeded) woofer.
The Bass and Treble controls give you more than adequate Tone control, and the monitors put out a pleasant, clear and surprisingly beefy sound, perfect for office level audio.
And the slick, shiny, and highly finished look and feel of these compact speakers is great.
There's a convenient headphone input jack on the front of the unit, and also a separate input for iPods, iPhones, or what have you.
One of the BEST purchases I ever made for my home office.
And at under $100, a great value.

These speakers are really great - the sound is clear and they have built in subwoofers, which is excellent when you want good sound in a relatively portable product. They're also quite powerful for their size. I'm very happy with them.

These speaker have amazing sound, rich treble and bass. My only complaint is that they are a bit big and heavy. I would recommend these speakers for someone who is not traveling with them.

Comments about Creative Labs GigaWorks T20 Series II Stereo Speakers:
I tried 3 different speakers within a month:
1) Groove Cube portable speakers for which created an untenable buzz;
2) Bose Companion 2 II speakers which were all bass, with no controls, and finally,
3) These Creative Gigaworks T20 Series II speakers for the same price as the Bose.
I find they have a good balance of bass and treble, with separate controls for each, as well as a separate on/off/volume control, and more power than the Bose
I'm very satisfied

These speakers have excellent sound and get as loud as you should ever be in a NYC apartment. The additional input jack allows you to hook in your iPod without the computer being on.
