• BD-Live 2.0 Ready: This exquisite player enables full interactive access to down-loadable video content, ringtones, and games. In addition, BD-Live 2.0 offers the ability to easily access (during live playback) additional Blu-ray content such as special subtitles, director's commentary, and movie trailers.

• HDMI (ver. 1.3a) x.v.Color/Deep Color Processing: This unit features an HDMI (ver. 1.3a) output with x.v.Color/Deep Color processing and 4:4:4 color sampling; it's capable of reproducing exceptionally rich, vibrant colors, with smooth, detailed gradation and color banding. HDMI technology enables the player to carry the HD audio and video information through a single cable and achieving the highest quality picture and clearest sound available. In addition, HDMI supports PCM multi-channel audio and Bitstream audio formats.

• 1080i/1080p P4HD Upconversion: Panasonic's P4HD technology performs IP conversion at the pixel level for the finest details by utilizing a pixel-management-task. • Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD: It's capable of decoding Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD audio signals; Dolby Digital Plus uses less compression than regular Dolby Digital to reproduce fuller and more dynamic sound effects with up to eight discrete channels of surround sound.

• Blu-ray Disc Features: A Blu-ray disc offers superb picture quality beyond anything available. With full capability 1080p HD resolution in Blu-ray and up to 40Mbps, encoding 5-10X the capacity of regular DVDs. • AVC-HD Media Compatibility: Enjoy the ability to play back your HD camcorder AVC-HD files in full HD resolution. AVC-HD discs encoded with x.v.Color (xvYCC) technology, an international standard for wide color space. It expands the current data range of video by about 1.8 times, resulting in more natural and vivid colors similar to what the human eye can actually see.

• Top-Notch Video Processing: It utilizes a 148.5MHz/12-bit video D/A converter that provides high quality 4x over-sampling for 1080i/720p output. Noise-shaping video processing, shifts the noise component to an unused area to further enhance the signal-to-noise ratio. By incorporating these technologies, it realizes super-fine, high-definition images with over 4400 billion colors.

• Progressive Scan with 3:2 Pull-Down: This is a progressive scan DVD player, capable of scanning an entire video frame at once; scan-lines commonly associated with interlaced video are drastically reduced.
