This little product does the job, but it is definitely flimsier than I expected. I was also amazed at how difficult it was to put together. It came in a bunch of pieces to assemble and it actually took two people to help me put it together because it required multiple hands to hold multiple parts while assembling. This product was more expensive than other similar products. Personally feel like I made the wrong choice.

4 stars because the kit could use an [...] style instructions sheet for assembly. Other then that and perhaps a few changes in design, this stand is so far perfect for my needs. I use it as a permanent stand for my home editing setup (it elevates the laptop which is easier to work with next to my 24" monitor, making dual monitor setup not an eye strain.)I can't see myself disassembling this thing for every show if I were a dj, putting it together was a little annoying. The design is very versatile, easy to personalize, and is sturdy.

I bought this specifically for working in a play. I'm running a laptop with an audio interface and some gear below and the space savings is great. Not to mention being able to stand up.
I'm also planning on using it for live music gigs.
Only hangup was that it took awhile to figure out the setup and it would have received 5 stars if it could fold for easy traveling.

It's a durable little stand. A little bit of a pain to put together. It really is universal. If I don't have something to slide the feet under, it comes with clamps to attach it to a case or table top.
