Picked up 2 of these for my uLite video kit and couldn't be happier. The normal bulbs that come with the kit burn out FAST. With this handy little adapter, that's one less thing I need to worry about now when I go on a shoot. You can pick up great color balanced bulbs pretty much anywhere now, and they last for years as long as you don't break them, which saves huge money in the end. Highly recommended.

Comments about Westcott Four Socket Fluorescent Adapter for uLite Fixture:
The biggest problem with uLites is HEAT. But with this adapter and 4 florescent Daylight bulbs it seems to work like a charm. Adjustment of white balance made easy in-camera or Photoshop. And it's SO MUCH COOLER in the studio.

Comments about Westcott Four Socket Fluorescent Adapter for uLite Fixture:
Used it to replace one 150 watt bulb in the dinning room lamp with 4 7.5 watt led 40 watt equivalents. 160 watts light for 30 watts and dimable too. It is too good for the use I am putting it to, but the hardware stores only carry two for ones.

I bought this so that I could use 4 x florescent bulbs in a Wescot 20" soft box. It worked out perfectly!

What can I say? It works. Turns 1 socket into 4. Not exactly high-endurance materials, but if you're looking for a cost-effective way to turn your bunsen burner light kit into something less scorching, works great.

Comments about Westcott Four Socket Fluorescent Adapter for uLite Fixture:
My wife purchased 2 ULite adapters for my birthday. A little more than 2 weeks after being purchased, one of the ULite adapters is not working correctly. Only 2 of the sockets work. I made sure it was not the bulbs. Needless to say, I have to get another.

Comments about Westcott Four Socket Fluorescent Adapter for uLite Fixture:
I use a few soft box's to photograph art for one of my clients websites. I've had terrible luck with the photoflood's from the local photography store.
I currently have 4 60w (equivalent) florescent lights which last 10,000 hours compared to the 20-60 hours the photoflood provided. It doesn't effect the light output if i only put 3, 2 or 1 light in, it still projects evenly. I plan on having 100w equivalent bulbs as well to have ~400w from each light.
If you are looking for longer term investment, I'd recommend these adapters.

Comments about Westcott Four Socket Fluorescent Adapter for uLite Fixture:
I was looking for a way to rid myself of the heat and short life-span of incandescent light bulbs. Besides the longer life of a florescent bulb, being that they are so much cooler, color filter film may be placed closer to the light, giving safer and easier use. (They still heat up though so caution is used). Being there is an increase in final circumference of light bulbs footprint, some reflector covers may not fit.

I got two of these to add to the Westcott Ulite soft boxes... what a difference!
Fluorescent light is so much cooler and easier to work with. Plus you can leave them on longer as bulb life is 10,000 hours vs. 60 hours of a standard incandescent bulb.
If you have a ulite kit or are thinking of getting one, add these and bulbs to your purchase... you won't be sorry.
