Comments about Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Computer Display (Black):
Huge, no dead pixels, arrived in one piece. 16:10 are getting hard to find. This is noticeably taller than the 1920x1080 I bought a few months ago. This model doesn't have the cool button-less touch controls Samsung's new monitors have, but I can live without.

Comments about Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Computer Display (Black):
I use the monitor for work viewing Excel, Word, Power Point and the Internet
The image quality is great. The nice feature is being able to adust the monitor for your personal viewing. There are different settings depending on what you are working on.
The only problem ( probably the operator) is setting the options. The window times out if you are slow to make a selection.
The ease of setup is no problem.
I need to buy one for home

Comments about Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Computer Display (Black):
i use this monitor for my g5 and newer intel macbook mainly for work (web development/sysadmin). it works just dandy and provides plenty of space for 2-3 text docs or 1-2 text docs and a terminal screen. i also do a little work in graphics programs like photoshop, illustrator, indesign, interface builder, xcode and a few others. it has plenty of space for all of the palettes and main window. i also play starcraft (the original) once in a while and am pleased with the display and responsiveness.
i was using a 21" samsung syncmaster... can't remember the exact model number but it had a T at the end... anyway my older monitor had more of a satin display and was very easy on my eyes. also it had buttons that controlled the brightness directly w/out fiddling through the osd menus. i believe that older monitor was around $1000 new.
i definitely notice the difference in quality between the two (the older being better quality).
this monitor is a bit bright, even at a low brightness (20-30). much lower and it becomes hard to read text on a black background. i'm not sure if i need to experiment more with the settings of this newer one but everything except starcraft is a bit washed out (especially at the factory defaults). there is also a slight difference in the top and bottom vs. the center where the top and bottom display a bit brighter. this could be caused by my setup as my eyes level about 3/4 up the display but it is the same setup i used for the older monitor. i have trouble using this monitor in a dark room because of the brightness/washed out issues but with a light on it is ok. if i had the money i would definitely purchase a higher quality model.
i would not recommend this monitor for those needing to do graphics work. i believe it would be a great monitor for gaming or watching movies. i recommend it for those on a budget who work with text and who's lives would be made better by having a high res. widescreen. i have tried several 20-24" dell monitors and this one is much better. the same brightness/washed out problems occurred with the dell's but to a much higher degree.
it did take some time adjusting from my older, smaller but higher quality monitor. it was hard not to stare at the many horizontal lines which traverse this monitor but after a couple of weeks of constant work i barely notice them now.
i think this monitor would be much better if the display could be adjusted in ways which i am not monitor-savvy enough to describe. otherwise it is a good product for the price and i am very happy to have a decent sized widescreen. oh, and the ability to tilt or adjust the height from the stand would be really great (it is sitting on a couple of thick paperbacks right now).
one last thing i really appreciate about this monitor is that the screen is not glossy, although the frame is, which is mildly annoying. but the screen is not and with a light on i can look at it for hours at a time without feeling too much eye-strain.

Comments about Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Computer Display (Black):
This is a great monitor with superb clarity as one would expect from the Samsung. I particularly chose this monitor because of it's resolution being 1200 vertical lines instead of the 1080 (which means extra height) and the dynamic contrast ratio of 20000. Anyone looking for a decent display to use as a computer monitor should definitely take a look at this before deciding. The pictures on this monitor looks crisp and very real with little or no glare.

Comments about Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Computer Display (Black):
I just purchased the Samsung 2433BW to replace a smaller Samsung monitor for video editing and graphic design. The increased resolution and size is great with me editing programs that benefit more from increased vertical resolution. I can never go back to 1680 x 1080.
