hahnel HL-HW433 OL80 Pro UHF Wireless Remote Control
With autofocus, Bulb and continuous shooting controls, the Hähnel Pro Remote Control is a wireless solution designed to trigger a camera's shutter from a distance of up to 262' (80m). As the remote transmits on the UHF radio frequency range, line of sight is not a requirement for operation. Furthermore, radio waves can pass through and around obstacles such as walls and floors, triggering the camera around corners.
This remote is for use with:

I use the remote for Portraits and low light situations. I am very pleased with the results. I own an Olympus E-3. Very easy installation, good battery life. Both parts are small which I love. Only thing I would improve is the kind of battery it uses (CR2 Lithium)

i love my new wireless remote shutter releas from Hahnel. It is so much better than a infrared remote or a wired shutter release. The ranger is amazing, it is also very easy to use. I have only used it so far in the house but I plan on giving it a good workout on some bird photography this spring.

This is the tool I have been missing for so long in order to photograph birds without disturbing them by my presence close to the camera.
A minor drawback is that you have to REALLY make sure to have connected the various pieces.
It is useful as well for those of us who have lower back problems, and hence rely to liveview in order to avoid bending for too long.

This is a great product! Far more versatile than an IR remote, less bulky and constraining than a cable release. Excellent build quality! Compatible with any E system DSLR (as far as I can tell), and includes a mini USB connector for consumer DSLRs (400/410/420/500/510/520/620/etc.), and a 3 pin connector for the E-3. Great for shooters with multiple cameras as you no longer need various cable releases...
I recently used mine in a camera trap setup to shoot a trail race. 100% success rate at distances up to about 30 yards (with new batteries). Did not have a chance to test maximum range.
My only complaint is that it uses a CR2 battery (kind of expensive). Would prefer it use a CR123A so it'd be interchangable with my flashlight...
