The Gitzo GT3330LS Series 3 Aluminum Tripod allows users to customize the use of the tripod to their particular needs. With 32mm maximum diameter tubing, the GT3330LS is made to provide rock-solid support with any SLR camera and any 300mm lens, including a 300mm f/2.8 monster. Fit and finish are what you should expect from the industry's top brand; the exacting nature of the movements is a delight.
The GT3330LS is delivered without a column and just a flat top plate for the purists who don't want to use a column, but as a Systematic Gitzo it can accept rapid or geared center columns of various lengths as well as 75/100mm video bowl bases, a leveling base, or their new Systematic heads. Buying Gitzo's Systematic legs is buying the assured option to customize, no matter what the day's particular need may be.
Gitzo's GT3330LS utilizes improved 1.2mm thick aluminum tubing that provides high maximum load capacity & outstanding torsional rigidity while still reducing the weight by 30% over previous Gitzo aluminum models. The GT3330LS stands at an "eye level" for a comfortable height for most shooters even without the need for a column and weighs in at only 5.9 lbs (2.7kg).

Comments about Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I ordered these legs because I could not afford Carbon Fiber but wanted good quality tripod legs. And this is the answer! Very sturdy, easy to use, and durable. I only weigh 100 lbs and these legs are not heavy for me to carry around in my pack at all! I am so very happy with these legs!!!!

Comments about Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Aluminum Tripod Legs:
Wow! a HUGH difference from my $70 dept store one...This thing has some weight and its rock steady...I matched it up with a Kirk BH-1 ballhead and now I know the foundation to which I will build upon is solid. It is a slight bit heavy but, it goes eye level and can hold a lot. Its smooth, thought I might miss the center tube, I think I prefer not having one.

Comments about Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Aluminum Tripod Legs:
These legs were purchased to hold my gimbal head and 400mm f2.8 lens. The setup is heavier than the carbon alternative but the purpose of these tripod legs was not to save weight. I appreciate the simple locking mechanism the leg sections use (the same as on the other new gitzo tripods). I highly recommend any Gitzo products and the aluminum tripods are an excellent value alternative when weight is not your primary concern. Some say the carbon fiber legs absorb vibrations better than aluminum but I have experienced no additional vibaration transmission.

Comments about Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Aluminum Tripod Legs:
A stable, professional tripod. It is not as light as a carbon fiber model, but for me, the cost trade-off was worth it. I find this great for macro work--the legs spread to 90-degrees, and there is no center column.
Works great with a professional ball head such as an Arca-Swiss.

Comments about Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Aluminum Tripod Legs:
A great compromise between weight stability and cost. Excellent for longer teles. The G-locks are an improvement over earlier leg locks. A high quality product!

I wish I could afford the CF model but this one rocks anyway!!
Comments about Gitzo GT3330LS 3-Section Aluminum Tripod Legs:
I am an amateur photographer but i see that a sturdy tripod is necessary. I have always liked the way that Gitzo builds tripods but earlier qualities like G-loc or ALR belonged only to expensive carbon fibre models.
Aluminium model GT3330LS is a great compromise for me.
