I purchased this bag for my Nikon D90 with an 18-105mm lens. The bag holds the camera secure with easy and quick access to the camera. I like the combination of clasp and/or zipper for closing the bag. The pockets are small and limited but this bag is not made for caring many extras. The shoulder strap is comfortable and durable. The only reason I didn't give it four stars is that the additional waist strap is a little flimsy. I also wished the chest harness strap came with the bag instead of being an accessory at additional cost. Otherwise, a very well designed bag that protects your investment.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
I use this product to carry around my Nikon D700 with my 16-35mm or 24-120mm lens during hiking and backpacking trips. I bought the chest harness to go with this and it works like a charm: I have easy access to my camera gear without having to take off my bulky backpack, my camera is very well-protected, and since it is carried in front of me, my balance isn't thrown off. It has a very good built-in rain cover that can be deployed quickly and offers great protection from the elements.
This bag also has well-considered and convenient storage. I can fit everything I need for a week-long backpacking trip in this bag: my camera and lens (obviously), two extra memory cards (the bag has special pouches that fit CF cards snugly and securely), three extra batteries, my GPS tagger, an extra filter, a lens-pen, and shutter release cable and its remote. The only things it won't accommodate is my Q-Ball air blower and my tripod.
I have occasionally used this bag in holster-mode, with it attached to the side of my hip. It includes a strap that also goes across your body, which secures it well and keeps it from flapping about. It was comfortable to carry it this way, and would be good for urban photography.
I highly recommend this product. If you have a large DSLR/lens and need a well-protected way to carry it around with very easy access, this is your bag!

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
I looked for the bag that gives best protection to my gear while it is easily and quickly accessible in trips. In addition I have space not only for a body with a single lens but for additional lens or flash. Very good bag for trips.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
Compact and somewhat smaller than the LowePro TLZ Pro AW toploader that it is replacing. However, the Nikon D300 and Nikon 18-200mm lens will fit in. Appears to be well-made.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
I was looking for a smaller case to hold my camera and 18-200mm lens. My camera fits perfectly in this case and there is sufficient room to store cards and a battery. And, the price was right.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
This case is just what I needed. I blew out the zippers on my lowepro tlz zoom 1 stuffing Canon 50d with a grip and 17-55 attached. The toploader pro 70 aw fits my camera perfectly with room to spare. The top pouch and front pouch are spacious. Haven't tested the AW hood yet.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
I have two of these bags. I also have the Pro 65AW bag. The Pro 70AW model is great for a Canon 5d MkII or 7D with either the 24 to 70 mm or the 24 to 105mm Canon lenses plus their respective battery grips. The use of the chest strap is recommended when walking with the camera in it. The lining is a bit stiff and so the camera is held quite firmly in the bag. Padding is very good but should give a little over time. Excellent bag for a light days shooting when a change of lens wont be needed.

What to say? I simply love Lowepro. This particular bag is a perfect fit for my 5D Mark II with 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. It provides great protection for my equipment and has a decent design.

Excellent protection for camera and lens. Big enough to get a 28-300mm lens and camera with battery pack in.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
I purchased this bag to protect my 7D while snowboarding and judging by the strength and rigidity of the bag it will do just that. It is larger than I expected. Unfortunately it will not hold the 24-70 2.8 lens with the hood on it, so you have to either keep the hood off or turn it every time you pull the camera out. There is minimal storage for any other equipment, which is perfect when you are only wanting to bring a specific setup. I look forward to getting some great mountain shots and snowboard trick next month!

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
Good bag when you want to carry the minimum amount. I use it to carry a Nikon D700 with MB-D10 grip and the Nikon 28-300mm VR lens on day trips. Sometimes I will leave the zoom lens at home and just bring my 50mm f/1.4D and my 35mm f/2.0D in the bottom of the bag. Unfortunately it's not big enough to bring the SB-900.

[...] I purchased it because it is recommended on [@] website and I have never regretted their recommendations. I am using it for my Canon 5D MArk II with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. I haven't had a chance to use the bag much but looking at its design and quality of construction, and how snugly my investment fits into it, I look forward to using it for many years.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
Great everyday bag for a med-large sized camera body and medium lens. The two main pockets are great for storage and the bag doesn't seem too bulky to take out on an everyday basis around and about. For professional shoots I would need something bigger of course to hold more, but this is a great bag. Sturdy, reliable and without too much extra stuff flapping about.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
Got this bag after buying the Pro 75 AW bag. The Pro 75 takes a Canon 1D body with a 70-200 or a 100-400 lens, but a bit large for smaller lenses. This bag fits perfectly for a 1D body and a 135mm or a 100mmL macro lens. A few small pockets to carry memory cards etc. is nice too. Actually, I also got the Pro 65 bag for use with the 1D body and a 50, 35 or 24mm lens.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
Excellent geneal purpose single lens "go" bag. Well constructed, fully functional, well thought-out design. The pro series simply has better stiching, more padding, more durablity and other attention to detail than lesser bags in this design type even from Lowepro. But honestly, for the price Lowepro is way ahead of the competition in terms of quality. However, this bag fits my 7D with 24-70 f/2.8 L (with grip) but not much longer.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 70 AW Camera Bag:
I use this bag inside of another bag like a backpack so it get's the ultimate protection. It has a fairly hard exterior on the outside which can withstand bumps and hits with a soft interior for padding. Unlike most other bags in this class, this can actually protect your camera well whereas others are mostly just a bag or camera carrier which offers minimal protection.

Bought this bag to keep my Canon 50D safe (and dry) for an extended trip to Ireland. It really has it all; side and top pockets for batteries, memory cards and a snack, and the actually camera slot fits the camera perfectly. Plus the toploading feature of this product makes grabbing the camera when you need it very very convenient. The shoulder strap is padded and makes it so you can barely even tell its there. Great case!
