As a military documentary photographer/videographer, I ordered two of these to mount on my LBE harness (one on each side). In order to do this, I needed connecting points on each corner of the bag - which this item had.[...]The Lowepro TL Pro performed magnificently. I used the side net pouches to stuff my lens cap in for quick, immediate storage. The zippered front was used to house Nikon SB-800's. I needed a top that both zippered and buckled closed. I use the zipper when putting the camera away for longer durations, and the buckle for security as I ran from location to location. The sizes fit my Nikon D700 with its 70-200 lens just fine (no hood). One other thing is the carry handle that sits at the top inside panel - superb. I couldn't see this in the item's add photo, and wasn't looking forward to it being there- but it was. That was the icing on the cake. That top handle is vital when seeking to grab the bag when not using the shoulder strap. This particular excercise was a paradrop mission, with Blackhawk helicopters. Getting on and off the aircraft is a quick and hasty task, and there are no second chances - so nothing can fail, be dropped, or slip out. When on the ground, the propeller wash blows everything around, sand, grass and you name it. At the end of the shoot, I didn't loose, break or damage anything - thanks to this super product - 5 stars. I'll be getting an additional bag in the near future.Review by Mike - [@](11/2009)

I purchased the newer version to replace an older model, I have gone through a couple over the years. The zippers fail otherwise I would still be using the old models. The new zipper has a less tight bend and should last longer.
The newer version has an improved main lid zipper design, but In my opinion is 90 degrees off, opening side to side rather than back to front. Using this with a Lens Case, both lids open against each other making a lens swap more awkward.
To accommodate the new zipper orientation, one of the slip locks straps has been removed.
The rain cover is terrible and its design is pure marketing driven trumping functionality. The old rain cover was simple and to slip on and off taking only took a few seconds. One could use both slip lock slide straps with the old style rain cover.
The new model requires one to remove the shoulder strap to put on the rain cover, it takes a lot longer to put on and it renders the sliplock strap useless to all but the smallest slip lock attachments.
Lens cases, water bottle holders or larger pouches like the 60AW ect... will need to be removed, and can not be used with the rain cover on.
The SlipLock straps themselves have been degraded. Before consisting of a wide strap, with a narrower strap over top, which was handy size for attaching other items to with carabiners, has been replaced with a single wide strap with grey stitching in the middle, to make it look like the older two strap set up for product shots.
If you have never used the old case, and have no slip lock attachments or never go out in the rain, it is a decent case, worthy of 4 or 5 stars.
But after using the old case design....

The Top Loader 75 AW holds my Canon EOS D40 and a Canon 100-400L lens with a little bit of room to spare. Perfect bag for this combination.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
I planned to use this bag with a Canon 60D body, Canon battery grip, Canon EF 70-200L F2.8 lense and Canon lense hood.
The GOOD: padding is solid, thick, stitching is tight.
The BAD & UGLY: There is no room for an extra lense or sunglasses as advertised. CANON long glass shooters beware, THIS BAG IS TOO SMALL! I had to remove the detachable padding in order to squeeze my rig into this bag. The rain hood is weak at best. The straps are confusing and instructions are non-existent. I expected a bigger, roomier bag. BUT we photographers are demanding and very creative so I plan to keep it, test it and modify it the way I had to do with a previous bag from T@#R%^K and make it right for my needs. Buy this bag is your rig is smaller than mine.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
Very well built product, but highly inferior to predecessors.
Pros:
Useful pockets
Better zipper
Excellent addition of the quick release top
Cons:
Much smaller than the previous model 75AW
Lousy rain protection / difficult to put on
Nikon D700 + 35-70 f2.8 - fine
Nikon D700 + grip + 35-70 f2.8 - nearly impossible
Nikon D3s + 35-70 f2.8 - fine
Nikon D3s + 14-24 f2.8 - perfect / tight
Canon 1D + 200mm f2.8 with hood - not even close to a fit!
The entire reason for me to have another one of the Pro 75AW was to quickly access my camera gear. After all, that's the whole point of not placing the gear in a backpack, right?
Unfortunately, this bag is missing about 2 inches in diameter, and about 4 inches in length to make it truly versatile. The older bag fits my Canon and lens mentioned above a whole lot better (yeah, it actually fits).
Current version will not accommodate Nikon D3s with 80-200mm f2.8 lens with hood in the "shoot" position - and NOT EVEN close to it.
If you know what it will fit, and you are okay with it, then go for it: it's really well built. If you want to have fast access to your gear (yes, with the hood on) you may want to start looking to other gear and make-shift.
Great alternative for big lenses:
The THINK TANK 50, the chest harness from Lowepro, two tiny carabiners from where ever and you will be able to fit a D3s + 120-400mm lens WITH hood 'on' - and when a large lens isn't needed, it will retract its "accordion" back to a smaller fit.
If you decide on the Top Loader Pro 75, be sure to order a chest harness with it - I can't believe they didn't include it.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
I really like this bag. I wanted to carry a 50D with a 100-400 L series lens. The combo fits snugly with the hood flipped over backwards. The bag is well-made although I did manage to break one of the plastic snaps on the first outing. I guess I pushed it too hard. The bag is very comfortable to carry and it is easy to get the camera in and out. I wish it was a touch bigger but, other than that, I really like it.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
I have owned the previous four versions of this bag and the inclusion of the plastic buckle to close the case finally solves the problem with the zipper tearing out -- no need to use the zipper unless you need extra security. This case is larger in its opening and is a welcome update as it accommodates my 5D attached to an Elinchrom wireless trigger whereas the previous case did not.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
I use this bag with my Hasselblad H4D-40 with 80mm lens. It's great for wide-moderate zooms. The bag is sturdy, comfortable, and the top loading feature makes it very easy to use. A lot of pocket space for spare batteries, cards, etc. Downside is that it is a bit bulky, but any bag that would fit what this one fits would be relatively bulky.

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
Like other Lowepro items, this bag is well made and functional. Keep in mind the bag is heavy on the neck with a lens such as the Nikon 70-200, but this in inevitable. Also, with the Nikon 70-200 you will need to remove the lens hood (even in reversed position). If you don't, its tricky getting the camera out of the bag because the lens hood gets hung up.

I purchased this bag to use with a gripped Canon T1i and 70-200 F4LIS, and it fits perfectly. It's about as small as you can get while still fitting the body and lens. It is very well built with a comfortable strap. While I have only taken it to two games, it has served me well.

Great bag, sturdy construction, easy access.
I used this bag for shooting back country skiing/snowboarding.
The Toploading lid is great as it allows you to access the bag while riding without taking your bag off, also keeps the powder out of your bag.
The raincoat is awesome for the sloppy wet days, just make sure you dry the bag out each evening to prevent humid conditions in your bag.
Perfect for the 70-200mm on a canon 5d

Comments about Lowepro Top Loader Pro 75 AW Camera Bag:
I purchased this bag for hiking and walking. I use a canon 40D, battery grip and either a 70-200 2.8 or 24-70 2.8 both L. I spend summers in Yellowstone Nat'l park many of the walks average 4-7 miles. This item allows you to carry your camera evenly weight distributed keeping the camera accessible when needed. I also purchased the options pack style carrying straps to use on the hikes that involve a more challenging climb. The padding is great for protecting your equipment it also creates a bulky appearance just takes a little getting use too.
