Excellent Quality. Works great. I'm buying another. Backup feature must be activate upon first use, however. Drives of this type tend to run slow with large image files, but a file transfer program such as Total Commander increases the speed of large image files by more than double the rate of Windows Explorer or even Norton Commander.

Like all flash drives, this device will certainly move files around. We bought ours as an inexpensive Sneakernet to avoid setting up a long and inconvenient temporary network link. However, it has drawbacks. A trivial one is the thumb-slide that retracts the connector. Unless your thumb is moistened, you can't get enough traction to move it. A major problem is write speed. While read times are tolerable, write times are not. To fill this drive, allow five or six hours. Literally.

Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
I use this flash drive to store all of the files for my current project at work. This 64 GB drive replaces an 8 GB and a 16 GB drive that I filled to capacity. This drive is much larger in physical size than the other flash drives (can't use both USB ports on my Dell laptop) and has a "backup" button on it (which may explain the size increase)which I don't use. But I bought it for the capacity and it does what I need it to do. Unlike other drives with a slide, this Ultra Backup drive is difficult to slide the USB port out of its hiding place; it takes a few seconds to work it out.

Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
The product is worth it if you have to save or mail large files like myself. I gave it four stars because it's usb 2.0 rather then the having it upgraded to usb 3.0. it's a little expensive but very convenient.

Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
This is my second Sandisk 64 after the first one went missing. My criteria is it needed to be retractable and have 64GB of space, decent price.
I used the U3 removal tool to clear space and also had to reformat to ntfs to support large files.
I would recommend this drive for anyone needing a cheap 64GB solution.

Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
Either a flash drive works or it doesn't, and this one does. However, its write speed is so low that filling it to capacity, especially with a larger number of smaller files, takes as much as five to six hours. Small numbers of large files take less time...but not that much less. Ergonomically, the retraction feature is less than ideal, although it still beats a separate cap.

Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
64 GB seems to be the sweet spot right now in terms of GB per dollar.
I'd rather that Sandisk gave an option on whether to activate the included software or not. I don't want a backup device. I want a 64GB flash drive. A little internet search, and I found a Sandisk utility to remove the included garbage. It's not as easy as just formatting the drive.

Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
I carry this little gizmo to store images while I'm on the road. Actually, it stores my back-up images, which become my primary ones when I get home. Small enough to fit in pocket or purse (or even on a keychain), large enough capacity to be worthwhile for some serious shooting. I download to my laptop and back-up to a thumb drive. It's much smaller than carrying a portable drive and it's solid state.

I don't have to worry whether my files will fit or not. It has become a breeze to back up quickly all in one. Why didn't I think about it this earlier? It's simple, fast and portable. Hum! did we read this somewhere else? So get the biggest and fastest USB drive! This one works swell for me.

Product is great; I always need more portable flash drive, so was happy to get it. Don't use the U3 function, so can't comment on that. Just remove it with ScanDisk took before using if you don't want that feature. B&H had best price[...]

Great for transporting my large files for web design! So far so good! I recommend!
Comments about SanDisk Ultra Backup USB Flash Drive (64GB):
The password protection does not work for Apple. If you password protect it on a PC your Max cannot open it.
Alas I just leave it unprotected until Sandisk upgrades the softwear (if they ever do)
The slide button it not smooth. There's a general feel of cheapness in its casing(made in China). For the price I payed, expected better.
It does not come with a key ring.
