Use the printer daily in my small office. Great job faxing,scaning, copying and printing doc's. Unless I'm missing something.... does a terrible job on envelopes. I will keep my retired HP 4600 printer for envelopes.

This industrial (120 lb) office multi-function printer is priced similarly to the cheap (25 lb) consumer grade devices you find at retail stores. The item arrived well packed & in good condition with the exception of a front panel that had a ill fitting closing clip (free replacement from manufacturer) hence the 4 stars. Also, like others, I had to call tech support for help getting it installed on my network, but tech support was great and now I couldn't be happier.

We use this printer on our office network as our default printer. quick, crisp, prints on both standard office documents and the photos we print.
As a scout leader, we also print all the hand-outs, newsletters, calendars and parental papers for our local scout pack, so it gets plenty of use.

I use this printer for home office, network available printing and scanning. The printer is large, rugged and heavy requiring a little more space than 'normal' printers in its class. The color is fine for normal office printing, first prints come out quickly and the PPM is respectable. The scanner TWAIN works over the network and also works really well with Adobe Acrobat.
The 'starter' inks don't allow much printing and I suggest purchasing extra ink with the printer.
B&H Photo had a fantastic price on the printer along with the consumables. The shipping was fast and reliable and the printer was delivered when promised. Overall I had an exceptional shopping experience, which is what I demand and what I have always receive from B&H Photo.

This printer does it all! I replaced an older Konica Minolta magicolor laser printer, which lasted for 8 years, with this one. I really wanted the flexibility to be able to print, scan, and fax. This printer does all that and even in black & white and in color. It is very quiet and very fast. The only thing that I really didn't like was that all of the instructions and software deal with setting up the printer to work on a PC, not a Mac. I had to go online and do research to find the instructions for installing it to work on a Mac. Also, it is quite large for use in a home office.

We have a home based business. We've used various printers over the years. HP, samsung, etc. Started out using the cheap disposable printers from [@], but going after ink cartridges every month was time consuming and costly. We finally upgraded to a B/W laser printer and LOVED IT. Don't know why we never went this route before. Cost was cheap and replaced toner once a year!Out next purchase was a color laser. We needed the double sided printing option. It served our needs but needed repair after the second year. Repair bill was 1/2 the cost of the printer. A year later, the same color laser printer acted up again. It was time for another purchase. We choose the Konica Minolta Magicolor 4690MF Multifunction printer from a recomendation of a friend of ours. He did copier/printer repair work. He said this printer was bullet proof, would take care of all our printer/copier/scanning/faxing needs! He said cost of repair was cheap and easy to work on. So we searched the net. We found that BHPhoto had the best deal on one at the time, had one in stock and could ship it out the next day.The printer is used in our home based business. We use the double sided printing option 95% of the time. Its great for printing publications to allow us to use less paper.This Konica Minolta Multifunction printer is by far, the best printer we've ever used and owned. Its just the right size for any home based business.If your looking at making an investment in a home based printer, this is it! Would definitly refer this printer! I will be buying Konica Minolta printers from now on!

Have not had a chance to use much yet but overall it appears to be a well built solid machine. Scanning is much faster than my previous machine and having color is a nice feature to have. We've had this unit a couple of months, we have an office of 6 people and had a variety of local printers and a Sharp laser black-and-white copier/printer. The Konica 4690 has replaced everything in one machine, plus we got rid of our fax machine - it's helped to create a lot of new desk space!

Does everything well, scans, beautiful laser copies in color or black-and-white, sends and receives faxes. We have some computers on Windows 7 64-bit which this printer supports, as it does our Windows XP desktops.

It's big, taller than our old Sharp but about the same footprint. The only negatives so far is that if you send a big printer order by mistake, it's hard to get it to stop, and some of our older computers do not like the Magicolor software but the Windows 7 machines make full use of it.

Nice machine.

I purchased this printer for my home. I do not have a home office, I was tired of the constant purchasing of ink for my old ink jet printer. I'm glad I made this choice.

The printer is great, works well, and prints thousands of copies without needing new ink/toner. The only downside is the set-up. Although the printers size and price make it appropriate for home use, the instruction manual it comes with is appropriate for advanced computer users/IT professionals.

If you are not an IT professional, you can call the customer support number and receive excellent set-up support; but you may have to wait an hour on the phone to get it.

Its dead quite. The Web interface is extensive and powerful. Itss a little heavy so don't plan on moving it to often by one person. Prints and copies beautifully and quickly. The scanner function took me 5 min to figure out with some tech support simce I had never used that typ before, the tech was amazing waiting on the phone while I ran around the office getting it to work.

The only problem is it takes a little long than i'd like to scan a page but it does have a hopper so who cares.

To sum it up
This product is a great value for the money. For me it was a big step up from the inkjet printer.

The only gripe I have is about the scanner. It's a little gripe, though. The scanning software is user friendly. What I especially like is that it remembers your last setting rather than falling back on some factory defaults. The document feeder is reliable, it's fast and even processes double sided pages. I only wished it had a broader range for contrast. Documents with light contrast cannot be significantly darkened.

If it weren't for the scanner contrast, I would give it five stars.
