Pentax Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery
The D-LI88 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery from Pentax is for Pentax Optio P70 P80, WS80, H90, and W90 digital cameras. The battery is also compatible with Sanyo VPC-CA100, VPC-CA102, VPC-CG10, VPC-CG100, VPC-CG20, VPC-CS1, VPC-GH1 and VPC-PD2 camcorders.

This battey works great, I just took it down to Bolivia with me and it works great, I can use it for a all day for a couple days without recharging it.

Requires care on inserting into charger or camera. Battery casing allows insertion upside down or backwards. Otherwise battery life is good and I have no other issues

The Optio W90 has many virtues, but long battery life isn't one, especially if using either the LED lights or flash much of the time, so a spare battery is a very good idea in order to be able to keep shooting.
An additional reason to have a spare is that it allows one to fully use a battery, swap it out with a fully charged one, and recharge the fully discharged battery later, which should be better for the battery in the long run. Without a spare one must recharge partially discharged batteries at the end of each shooting session in order to have a fully charged battery available, which is generally not as good for long-term battery life.
The only exception might be if primarily using the camera in the water, where one can't change batteries or cards anyway.

Battery works pretty good but could last a little longer. The I believe that allot of battery life depends on the camera your using it in. Some of the new cameras are doing allot more then the older cameras so they are draining the juice. I gave it 4 stars because it lasts a decent amount of time with as much stuff as our camera does in the background.
