The Back-UPS XS 1500VA LCD 120V from APC provides professional power protection and battery backup for computer systems. Safe system shutdown and advanced power management capabilities keep systems and data safe via USB connection, and built-in Ethernet connections protect systems from surges traveling on data lines.
The UPS features 8 outlets, 6 of which provide battery backup. Its battery provides 13.1 minutes of runtime at half load capacity.

This is my 4th APC UPS BackUp for my Mac Computer Workstation. This is however the first one that gives me visual feedback - this is the only way to go - gets rid of the mystery of how close I an getting to the threshold!

I have 5 in my AV-Multimedia office, some are older than others so I've had experience over time with them. By now I'm sure you can guess that I like them very much. They protect all of my equipment racks housing recorders, duplicators and other electronics including computers.
In short I trust them with my tools that I need every day for my work. Good Job APC.... so far ! :-)

I bought this UPS for my wife's computer due to power drop outs at least once a month where I live.
It is a very good size for fitting under the desk and has a good number of protected outlets. She has the computer, the 17" LCD screen, printer, external HD and desk lamp hooked to it and it says it can handle more output.
The included software is quite good. Alarms can be set to silent for nighttime and for how long you want the computer to stay on before the software shuts it down.
