As the second zoom lens within the H-system, the Hasselblad 35-90mm f/4-5.6 Lens establishes an optical base for convenient wide-angle to mid-range imagemaking. Equally useful for film, but designed for digital, this lens with internal focusing, will be of great comfort to photographers entering the H-system from a beginning in 35mm/full frame cameras.
Note:This lens is not compatible with the H1.7x converter nor the HTS 1.5 Tilt/Shift adapter.

Comments about Hasselblad 35-90mm f/4-5.6 HCD Aspherical Zoom Lens:
I've tested this lens this against HC 35mm, 50mm and 80mm primes and found it equally as good (if not better) and the AF is the fastest I've experienced on a Hasselblad lens! It's heavy, but I find it a lightweight alternative to the HC 50-110 zoom and can spend the day shooting hand-held without any problems. Perfect match with the cropped H4D-40 sensor.

Comments about Hasselblad 35-90mm f/4-5.6 HCD Aspherical Zoom Lens:
The images are excellent. This lens is super sharp throughout its zoom range and it does not creep. This lens eliminates my need for 2 or 3 prime lenses and when considering the cost of Hasselblad prime lenses, this one is probably worth the price. I use it hand held in the studio and compose images as I shoot. The weight of the lens plus the limitations of the H3DII in terms of maximum shutter speed and frames per second make it hard to justify for a lot of applications but it hasn't stopped me from trying. On the down side, it does not have a constant aperture throughout the zoom range, is not particularly fast at 4 to 5.6 and, if you need a quality filter, the 95mm size will add a good bit to the price tag.
