I was using them to mount my Audio Technica Pro-24CM. Recommended only for lighter weight external Cold-Shoe products as the plastic is a bit flimsy but worked perfectly for me. I was going to mount with Epoxy as well so the stickiness didn't bother me. They aren't all that sticky.

Comments about Impact Adhesive-Backed Accessory Shoe (2-Pack):
Yes, it is a tight fit when you insert devices into this shoe. BUT, the slots proved to be the most helpful feature. To be honest, I didn't really notice them until I received the product. The it dawned on me that I could mount the shoe on my tripod head with a cable tie. It works great, stays put and keeps my remote shutter controller off the camera shoe so that it is available for a strobe unit. Duh.

Comments about Impact Adhesive-Backed Accessory Shoe (2-Pack):
You stick one adhesive piece somewhere and put an extra piece of lightweight equipment in it. I use it to attach remote release receiver on the top of my SB400 flash, which seats in the standard in-camera hot shoe. My definition of 'better' is metal construction because this one is plastic. Also. my remote release receiver fits too snugly and I wish that it would be an easier fit. I think this little piece of plastic is responsible, because receiver fits well into camera shoe. I still recommend it because of low price and no competition.

Superglued one of these onto a cheapy vivitar infared video camera to hold my Sigma infrared light. The base isn't too large, I see that it can be screwed down (two slots either side of the shoe),

Comments about Impact Adhesive-Backed Accessory Shoe (2-Pack):
I'm not sure what these are intended for. I bought them to provide a mounting spot on some Buff flash units for Photokit wireless controls. The surface area for the adhesive isn't effectively very large, nor is the adhesive especially strong. I'd exert care using these cold shoes since the adhesive gives up relatively easily.
