The RM 8 from Tube Tech is a power-supply frame for use with the company's tube based modules, designed for where space is at a premium, such as in a home studio, a PA system, an outside broadcast truck etc. Full featured studios would also benefit from the system since the individual parts have been designed without any sacrifice in quality.
The internal universal power supply delivers all the stabilized voltages necessary for the modules to function, including +270V, +48V, +15V, -15V and +12V. A module for monitoring all voltages (showing they are present and correct) is also included. The frame itself is fabricated from an electroplated steel sheet with top and bottom aluminum covers, making it rugged and sturdy.
Inputs are female XLR paralleled to one DB25 female connector. Outputs are male XLR paralleled to one DB25 female connector. The DB25 connectors are wired using the Tascam standard.
