The JVC CU-VD50 Everio SHARE STATION DVD Burner is a convenient and uncomplicated way to make DVDs of your video footage. The SHARE STATION's biggest feature - one-touch disc burning - provides you with a hassle-free way to save your memories to DVD for years to come. Just connect your camcorder to the burner using a USB cable and press the DIRECT DVD button. It's that simple. You can choose to have only newly recorded data burned, manually selected scenes, or pre-selected scenes using the Playlist feature.
Another way the SHARE STATION keeps things easy is with its high-speed transfer which burns 60 minutes of video in approximately 30 minutes. Other recording features include the ability to superimpose recording data and time info (with HD Everio models only) and creation of a menu screen. And last, but certainly not least, the CU-VD50 doubles as an external DVD drive and burner for your PC, allowing you to make the most of the Everio SHARE STATION.

- Everio's DIRECT DVD button enables one-touch launching of the DVD-Video disc burning process. You can even use it to automatically transfer only newly recorded data to the burner, just the scenes you manually select, or pre-select using the Playlist

- High-speed transfer means you can create a 1-hour DVD (4GB) in about 30 minutes. Minimizing the time your Everio camcorder stays on your desk so you can get out where the action is

I bought this for my husband. We are planning to do some traveling and I bought him the JVC120 gig Camcorder. We are retired and are Technologically Challenged Seniors. When we saw this CUVD50 DVD BURNER f/EVERIO to go with the camcorder we were so excited. It made it so easy for us to put our videos of our vacation on a DVD. If we can do it anyone can. We videoed our trip to San Diego this past June. We are going to Hawaii in October and Israel in March of 2010. Cant wait to see our vacation videos from these places! Very easy to operate.
