I first saw this at a the PhotoPlus Expo show and was impressed with the design and construction. Unlike Stroboframe, which is made of folded sheet metal, Custom Bracket flash holders are machined out of aluminum and fitted with brass latches.
The folding bracket fits in a large camera bag and is much easier to deal with than the non-folding versions.
Like any bracket, this accomplished two objectives: 1) To get the flash away from the camera to increase subject definition by enhancing shadows and to eliminate red-eye; 2) To keep the flash above the camera when the camera is rotated vertically to avoid unnatural lighting.
Since any bracket can do this the CB bracket distinguishes itself through construction (form, fit, & finish), weight, and the convenience of folding.
Highly recommended.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
I use it for vertical and horizontal event shots. It allows me to take my flash off of the camera to soften the flash on my portraits. It is easy to tuck away with my gear. It's very easy to adjust from vertical and horizontal portraits.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
I bought this to use when taking my portable strobes in not an option. I needed it for an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception candids.
It work quite well. It was pretty comfortable on my 7D with battery grip and raised the flash enough to remove the shadows and red eye. It flipped easily when needed.
The only issue was when I was carrying the camera between shots, if it was in the portrait position it would swing the flash down as there is no lock for the flip portion.
Build quality is high and the aluminum feels good in your hand. It folds up nicely.
I had the flash mount rotate on my twice and the camera mount rotated once over a 10 hour session. As mentioned by other, some rubber inbetween would help but it didn't bother me. The price makes it a great value.
I will be buying a second one for my second camera for my next wedding.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
The folding idea is great because it saves you lot of space, but the stiffness is not that great. I prefer the captive screws over spring latch.

The bracket is light and really saves space when folded. But has to be a bit wider to be really effective to use the flash on the. right

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
I am a professional wedding photographer and I bought two of these brackets-one for my camera and one for my husband's camera. Although it makes the camera a little heavier overall, I have to say I love using it. It gives me a softer flash and I have seen no red eye in any photos I have used it for yet. It also reduced the shadows we were getting before with our flash. Definitely a great tool to have and would recommend it to anyone wanting to boost their flash performance.

Quite possibly the best flash bracket I ever owned. Easy to use. Lightweight but yet very sturdy. I would recommend spending a few extra dollars to purchase the anti twist bar.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
I purchased this bracket for its portability as I have a big rotating bracket already, which is difficult to carry. I use this bracket with my 580 EX II speedlight flash and Quantum Q-Flash T5D-R and X5D-R. I purchased the camera anti-twist bar with it. The bracket neatly folds and takes up little space in my bag. When unfolded I can attach a Q-Flash easily and the FreeX-wire Receiver Transmitter neatly screws into one of the threaded wholes on the top bar. The bottom bar which holds the camera, has also a tripod screw threaded whole. I attach an Arca-Swiss type plate there so I can quick attach the bracket with the camera and Q-Flash mounted onto my tripod.
The only gripe I have with it that the upper arm which holds the Flash cannot be locked into a position so it can swing.
Great product for the price!

Easy to use and feels great. Easy to switch from top to side without having to pull back. It's the right height to get rid of the hot spot. It doesn't take much room when packing. I can trust holding it with my camera. I use it often.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
This folding T has a great idea behind it but it depends on what camera you are using. My Canon 5d with a batter grip would not work or wouldn't stop twisting. And yes I bought the anti-twist bar but, it just didn't fit. Needless to say the folding T got returned.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
This is a great bracket with a huge selling feature: It folds up!!!!!! This is perfect for anyone like me who likes to carry everything with them, "just in case". Overall a solid contruction. The bracket, because it folds, allows the flash to "jiggle" slightly, but not enough to be of any concern.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
The bracket is great for the price point. The size of the bracket is great and fits great on a 7D. The swinging arm that rotates the flash from the horizontal to vertical position is a little flimsy and swings on it own if not careful. I use the bracket with the quantum t5r-d and it is not the greatest fit, but with a little effort you can make it sit pretty securely.

Comments about Custom Brackets Folding-T Bracket:
Ready to use right out of the box. Be sure you have all of the right connections for your flash. Be careful when shooting verticals as the upper bracket does not lock until it is in its' final position.
