The CA-4000 from Bogen Communications and Apogee is a professional-quality stereo power amplifier that offers high quality sound at an affordable price. The rackmount chassis can be installed in any standard equipment rack, ideal for commercial or installation purposes. The amplifier uses advanced MOSFET technology to provide the highest quality sound with reduced heat output and terrific reliability.
The internal power supply uses low ESR capacitors and a uniform-wound toroidal transformer to produce excellent audio results without distortion or excess heat. An internal switch allows the amplifier to operate at 120VAC or 230VAC for worldwide use. It has XLR audio inputs, along with binding post outputs and 1/4" stacking outputs for compatibility with virtually any sound system. Level controls are found on the rear panel to prevent tampering or accidental changes.
The amplifier has adjustable-speed fans for quiet, efficient cooling. The air intake and air filter are on the front panel for easy cleaning access. The amplifier is also equipped with protection circuitry that reduces clipping and distortion, and also protects connected speakers.
