The 1TB LinkStation Mini Shared Network Storage from Buffalo is a high-capacity drive with an interface that allows it to be connected via Gigabit Ethernet and a rotation speed of 5400rpm.
The drive is easily integrated into your network, making it easy to share files among users. You can even integrate it into your wireless network by plugging it into your wireless access point or router. The included Memeo AutoBackup software lets you back up data from your network. These features make the drive an excellent solution for media streaming, data backup, or general storage in small networks.
- 1TB Capacity
- 1TB of capacity allows for storage of approximately 75 hours of uncompressed DV digital video, the equivalent of 212 4.7GB DVD video discs, or up to 250,000 MP3 files.
- RAID Configuration
- The drive can be configured as a RAID 0 or RAID 1 device. RAID 0 delivers the full storage capacity of the drive. RAID 1 writes the same data to both physical disks inside the enclosure, halving the available space for storage. This ensures that you have a realtime backup in case one of the physical disks fails.
- Gigabit Ethernet Interface
- The standard Gigabit Ethernet interface allows users to access data and administrators to remotely administer the drive through a standard LAN connection, making it easy to add to your existing network infrastructure. The drive can be connected to a wireless network by connecting it to a wireless access point, router, or bridge.
- Share Data
- The Gigabit Ethernet interface allows you to easily integrate the drive into your network and share data without the need of purchasing an expensive server.
