I use my tv not just for watching regular channels, i use it to play games, watch movie on blueray and WOW, the quality is AMAZING, also to stream netflix movies and shows.
What is great about it that the picture quality is beyong good and desing is sleek and nice.
the only thing is that is very glossy and for my personal taste i tend to like stuff not so glossy.

If you desire top picture quality, smooth action, and great sound in a compact package then the Sony XBR9 is for you. We bought the 40" because we view our TV from 12'. This TV includes an Eithernet connection so it's a simple matter to connect it to your home network. TV has plenty of interfaces to connect anything you can think of. Sony Technology is tops.
Remember, it's not just the screen that matters, it's what's behind the screen that counts!

Patience paid off! Having done tons of research both on-line and in stores, I find that this 40" XBR9 more than meets my needs and expectations, especially since it came bundled with 5.1 Surround Sound! The clarity of the video is nothing less than seductive, and the audio is rich and full, whether from the TV's internal speakers or the five external ones. Right now I am just enjoying the basic features; I'll post again when I've mastered more of the features.
