I bought these for an old laptop on a high shelf in my kitchen so I could listen to radio while working. They deliver great sound - way better than the $22 tinny-sounding [...] jobs I got and quickly returned. The volume adjustment is on top and easy to find by feel. They could be improved by having the green audio plug be a a right-angle one so it would lie flat against the computer's front, where my jack is. And the cord could be a little longer, but overall I'm happy with these and will probably order another set. I live where there's no FM radio and we get everything over sat. TV or internet.I bought these at the same time I bought a digital projector for a community organization here, and thought these might work for the speaker system for that. I think they'd do the job.

I am an elementary school principal and I bought these for every classroom. Our new math series has an online component but the laptop speakers we not enough. I use these speakers to listen to music in my house on my laptop. I listen to mostly rock and metal and the clarity of the guitar and bass are great. Nothing is muddy or anything. The only negative thing i have to say is that you can't really crank them all the way up. They distort a bit and i was afraid of blowing them out. They are excellent at a moderate volume.

Watching movies or listening to music on laptop. For its size it delivers good audio quality. These lightweights make carrying around a please however I do wish that they were more compact (they do look much smaller in pics). I would've preferred better build quality cos you do worry that they will break easily if dropped -- but I guess lighter facilitates portability - though the size does contradict the "portability"

I've been using these speakers for a couple of weeks now. As far as sound quality, these speakers do a pretty decent job. These are small, cheap, low watt speakers so it will be very unreasonable to expect stunning sound coming out from them. I'm no audiophile but I can definitely tell what's nice and what's garbage. And these speakers are certainly not garbage if you don't expect too much from them. Like most low-end speakers, these are not too good with bass but are pretty good with mids and highs. And they can get somewhat loud without distortion depending on the quality of the song you are playing. Overall, I don't think the sound is better than the Sony speakers that came with my computer. But I do like the fact that they are compact and the design is just super cool. And it's powered by usb. What I don't like about it is that the on/off knob is in the back and the power indicator light is just way too bright. But all and all I'm pretty satisfied with these speakers. So if you are not too picky about sound quality and want decent speakers, these would be a great buy. If you get disappointed, chances are you expected too much from them. Hope my review helped.

Great for traveling, especially with our portable DVD player that has a USB jack. Lets us get MUCH more volume than the built in speaker. Nice to have the USB power and no extra power cord to mess with.

For the size and price of the speaker, the sound is pretty impressive. They were smaller than I expected, very portable and compact. No drivers or software is needed because they use an audio jack. Not having an AC adapter is a HUGE bonus - these always get lost and are bulky. Perfect for laptop use.
