Bought these to have some decent audio while designing on my computer. I no longer place video games on my PC after switching to Xbox and PS3 so the surround sound system I had was retired. The benefit is that it has a small subwoofer which is not too powerful but you can definitely feel it. The speakers are smaller than expected (about the size of a soda can laying sideways) but the sound from them is very acceptable. Use it mostly to listen to streaming music, occasional online videos. A big plus is the subwoofer plugs into the right speaker, then the right speaker to the AC adapter. My prior set-up had everything going to the subwoofer, then to the AC adapter, and for saving electricity I had to go underneath my desk to switch off the subwoofer. My goal was not to spend more than $30 on a decent pair of computer speakers and this met my needs.

i use the speakers for mixing in my office. they have great clarity of sound. the speakers get distorted if your source is too loud, but it's to be expected with the size.

i have owned mine for about two years and i will say they have not gave me no problemsthe bass is good have to adjust to get it all around quality they are great

I use these speakers for work. I wanted something better then the original Dell speakers that came with it. I also wanted a little more bass. These speakers, while they sound great in the office, lack bass completely. You are better off buying the two speaker version and save the few bucks or go with a higher end set. Now I know for [$] I didn't expect to have a movie theather experience, but this subwoofer do anything at all.

I use these with my desktop pc. General use: videos, music etc...
These don't use much space and the sound is decent for general use. The sub woofer is a bit faint for the low end.
If you want great sound put out the $$$$$.
For the price these are just right.

These are amazing speakers! They have incredible bass and all around good sound. Very good bang for your buck. The only downside is the wires. They are made out of some cheap plastic coating and get tangled really easy. But the speakers are really nice.

I am a hit producer and I use these speakers to produce music with lol. People think you need $300 speakers for great sound but all you have to do is mix the sounds and these help with that.

These may not be the best speakers you'll ever hear, but good luck finding anything better without paying dearly for the privilege.

My last speaker system was a 5.1 surround sound system which I paid four times as much for. When I headed off to college I wanted a speaker system so I didn't have to watch movies through a cheap little television speaker, but I didn't want something heavy or bulky. I picked these up and I was instantly impressed with the quality offered. The sound is almost indistinguishable from my 5.1 set, and retains its clarity even at very high volume.

The only real drawbacks to this set are a lack of independent subwoofer volume control (although the subwoofer is not too weak, but could stand to be turned up or down depending on the audio going through it), and the thinness of the wires connecting the satellites to the subwoofer. Don't let your cat near this!

Bottom line: Powerful, clear sound in a small, affordable package. Unless you're a hardcore audiophile, you won't have any problem with these.

I was looking for something cheap and got it. It's a little thin on the high end, the woofer is kind of nice but if you're looking for a great sound this ain't it. No volume or tone control. So you're stuck with a mediocre sound but for the money it rocks!

I bought these speakers for Grandmother's home computer. They're very small, but the sound is surprisingly good. My dad, who is a sound engineer, gave them the stamp of approval. I'm actually quite jealous, and find myself spending more time on her computer than my own. They'll fit practically anywhere. The only downside is that the volume on the subwoofer is not adjustable, which I would like to have seen.
