This is great for the Drobo Pro, fits easily and well, my only complaint is that the front plastic parts, that match the Drobo, stick out in front-- almost an inch. So, it sticks out much further than the other rack mount items.

Mounted with DroboPro in a normal 19" A/V equipment rack. Look of rack blends perfectly with DroboPro. Simple to install with standard screw spacing (just be sure to screw Drobo into the rack kit before trying to put the rack kit in the equipment rack!). The only possible negative is that both the Drobo and the Rack stick out about an inch from the rest of the rack components; didn't make any difference in my application, however if your rack has a door on it might cause issue - measure first!

The rack mount kit is great for pro application - probably a "nice-to-have" for other users. I'm a media editor and wanted to tuck my Drobo Pro in a rack at eye level where I could easily reference the LED display. Be sure to grab the SN off the bottom of the Pro before mounting, as the number is covered by the mount. However, you can always grab the SN from Dashboard.
