I use this arm with my Marshall monitor that I attach to a shoe mount or a mafer clamp that attaches to a tripod leg. It's a couple inches longer than the other inexpensive Ikan arm which attracted me. And it's only $5 more. I can also use it with a camera light.

I purchased, along with a Nano Clamp, for holding an external monitor for my T3i. This arm didn't cut it. It couldn't hold the monitor and kept slipping. Also, it kept unscrewing at the base. I was disappointed when I started using it, especially since there were many reviews here that said it was really strong. Not sure what everyone else is using it for, but for me it didn't work. It's okay for lightweight stuff, like microphones or lights. It may work for my H4n.

I use this to support a Tascam DR100 MKII on a Canon T3i and it handled it like a champ. The arm is incredibly easy to articulate into any position you need with a simple knob twist. Couldn't be happier.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
It's lightweight, flexible and compact.Using it to attach to tripod. It would have been nice if it came with a mounting clamp. I'll have to buy 16x9 Inc. 169-J-BRKT J-Clamp Mounting Bracket for $139.00 or the Ikan Elements Pinch Clamp for $27.00 if it can hold the weight of a 7" LCD Monitor. Overall rating good, 4 Stars.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
When it comes to articulating arms for dslr set ups, there are many to choose from. I've had an expensive one break on me. I jimmy rigged one and just didn't do what it needed to do.
But the Pearstone arm works great, holding my marshall monitor nicely on my redrock set up.
It's nice to find good and cheap in any product.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
I use this as a monitor mount on my Canon 5D while shooting video, and it is perfect. Once you mount the monitor it only takes one knob to adjust the entire set up, which is really nice when the camera has to move low or in a more inconvenient spot.
The only problem I have been having is keeping the shoe mount tight when adjusting the rest of the arm. Sometimes it loosens up with it, but it is a simple little fix, just tighten it back down again! All in all, great product, and extremely affordable!

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
I purchased this arm and realized it was to long for my dslr to Marshall the balance ratio felt like it was going to rip the hotshoe out ( Not the designs fault) I just recommend doing your homework on what size you should buy because they also make a 4" ( the one I should have brought). Anyways I'm still giving it a 5 stars because it's very rugged, totally adjustable , and works as advertised.

I purchased this to mount my Zacuto EVF to the top of my DSLR. This Articulating Arm lets me place the EVF in any position. It is not any too sturdy, but does support the lightweight EVF without problem.

Strong, flexible articulating arm used with Marshall 5' monitor. Strong enough to become a second handle when shooting run and gun.

Use for on camera light and also 7" LCD monitor. Does drop at times if you do not tighten all the way but still well worth having in your kit

I use this on shoulder rig for dslr accessories. It works great and is stable. I put a 7inch monitor on it with no problem. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
I needed this badly. I shoot on a Canon 7D with a 7" external monitor. Previously, I had my monitor mounted on the hot shoe and I had to break my neck to look upward when using my shoulder rig. This arm is sturdy, easily adjustable, configurable in numerous ways, and seems built well.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
For the price this arm does a great job. It won't hold a 2 lb. monitor very well, but it isn't intended to. I use it to hold my Atomos HDD recorder to the top of my HVR-Z5U where it performs it's job admirably. I just need to be sure it's tightened well or it slips.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
Build quality is average. It's made of metal, but it's not as smooth as the more expensive arms. It also takes quite a bit of force to get it *completely* tight where none of the parts are moving. A nice bonus is the hotshoe adapter piece. It gives you some added mounting options.

Comments about Pearstone 8.3" (21.1cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
I needed an articulating arm to mount my Marshall 7" LCD screen to my Manfrotto tripod. Since we are doing allot of pans and camera set ups with our video rig, I wanted the LCD screen held in the steady position so that the director of the video production could easily view the screen from any angle. This product got the job the done and more. The articulating arm can also be mounted on the camera to hold lights, microphones or other accessories. It is so easy to mount on the tripod legs with the adjustable clamp and adjust it for any angle or height for viewing. In addition the cost was about half the price of another brand.[...]
