In the era of DSLR video capture it is essential to have an articulating arm to mount any type of enhancing equipment to your camera which if you're a professional creates an efficient working environment that impresses the client. I own a metal dual-split screw on shoe mount and the addition to this Arm with its metal shoe conveniently allow me to add 7" monitor with a 4" LED Panel Light. For the price it's ideal because it can be augmented to fit on other rigs.

Decent build, a bit pricey
I use this to mount accessories such as LED light or HD Field monitor to a Canon 7D. This arm is shorter than most and can limit it's compatibility with some accessories.

Comments about Pearstone 4.2" (10.7cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
I use a shotgun mike on my Canon XF-305. When the softie wind filter is slipped over the mike it creates a sizeable object that interferes with the light path from my Ikan LED on-camera light. This articulating arm provides the necessary height to get up and over the mike while allowing a wide range of corrective angles to aim the light downward or to the side for the best angle. The arm is lightweight, possibly future models will be even lighter.

I use this to get more flixibility from my pocket camera or palm sized camcorder mounted on a Pico Dolly or Cineskates. It can also be used to hold a light, or mic. Very good build quality, rugged and light weight. Price performance is excellent.

Comments about Pearstone 4.2" (10.7cm) Articulating Israeli Arm:
I bought this arm to actually replace another articulating arm of the same size. what make this better than the one I have is that the part that connects to the monitor, has a circular tightener to secure the LCD firmly. Other arms for some reason do not have this. very happy with this purchase.

This mount is a fantastic product. I have only had it for about two months, but i have fallen in love with this product. I use it to mount a monitor to the cold shoe of my Canon XL2. This allows me to view the feed, most likely while the camera is attached to a tripod, or the mount can also suspend the monitor over the lense allowing me to use it as a telaprompter.
The Pearstone Articulating Israeli Arm is a well rounded product. My only complaint is that it is difficult to tighten in the exact position you need.

I was surprise on how well this product works. If you use a shoulder cam with a large mic on the right and eye piece on the left you may see the light create shadows on the subject. This product will position your light in a million ways.
