The Flip Video UltraHD Camcorder (Black) is an easy and fun way to capture and share all your memories. With the UltraHD you can record up to 120 minutes of 1280 x 720p HD video to the 8GB built-in memory without the fuss and muss of more complicated camcorders. The 2 inch anti-glare LCD screen gives you a generous, easy-to-view screen on which to compose and play back all your footage.
When you're done shooting just connect the flip out USB arm to your PC or Mac for instant sharing via email or social media sites. The built-in FlipShare software compresses your HD video to an Internet friendly size and helps you to email, edit, capture stills from video, and upload. When you want to watch your high definition videos on your HDTV, just connect to your TV through the mini HDMI cable and enjoy all the memories.

The Flip Ultra HD is a great pocket camcorder, especially for the price ([$]). I compared it with similar pocket camcorders such as the Kodak Zi*, etc.. My first use of the Flip Ultra HD was travel to the Northwest (Seattle). If you have been to Seattle in the Winter, you know that the days can be overcast and rainy. Even on the most overcast, rainy days, the Flip Ultra HD produced great HD video and very good sound. The Ultra is extremely easy to use right out of the box. The controls are simple, the features, although not many, are more than adequate for the casual user or video enthusiast. For those of you that have a PPC Mac, don't worry. The Ultra works great with PPC MACs, 2.0 dual core or better, Leopard 10.5.7. The editing software that comes with the Ultra automatically transfers to your MAC when you import your first video. After I imported my first video, I then used iMovie to do most of my editing (both iMovie HD 6 and i Movie 08 work well). I'm very happy with the Ultra and would recommend it to anyone that wants a pocket camcorder and you can't beat the price and quality of the Ultra...it's the right fit...a pocket camcorder you can live with. One last note, online technical support for the Ultra is GREAT...got a helpful email answer back every time within 24-72 hours.

Even the sony version is better. This is the "name brand" although it is the worst! ONLY looks good in sunny outdoors....

I received one from friends last Christmas and did not know what it was. But within 5 minutes I was taking great HD home movies and haven't stopped.
I don't use my $1000 Canon HD camcorder any more!
It is perfect for carrying at all times and getting those unexpected family moments. Have taken hours of grandkids sports events.
Bought one for my oldest son this Christmas.
Movies are indeed HD and the software is easy to use to edit and compose composite movies of individual clips.
Highly recommend it.

[...]I looked at the details and found that there were two models out and this is the ULTRA HD which has more RAM and can handle 2 hours of recording.My son attached it to his coat and we got to see snowboarding from a different perspective.He uses it following his "skate boarders and snowboarders" and uploads to youtube, where they all critique each other.He has told his buddies to get one of there own so they could record from different angles at the same time.

This product is incredible. I use it on a daily basis to record my dance routines. The best things about it are that there are two hours available to record and to download the videos all that has to be done is to flip out the USB port. This Flip Video is great for me both at home and at the dance studio, I find it so helpful. Additionally, the Flip Video is light and small, enabling me to carry it wherever I go! The video quality is beautiful as well, even on a large screen. I wouldn't change a thing and I love my new Flip Video!

This was GREAT for recording Christmas 2010. High image quality. Very easy to install. We bought for grandparents that are not tech savy and they were able to easily use the camera. And the camera has so many features to edit video and take snapshots out of video. Made email a video a cinch. Sound quality is excellent.
