The Flip Video UltraHD Camcorder (White) is an easy and fun way to capture and share all your memories. I'm a professional film and video producer and wouldn't dream of using this device for anything other than it's intended purpose, web delivered video. That said, I have a large client in the Real Estate industry that has just opened up their corporate web site for video produced by their individual brokers. I purchased the Flip UltraHD to see how easy it would be to use, and to use as a demonstration device in D.I.Y. video classes. I'm very pleased with it for simple "Home Tour" and "Video Blogging" jobs. Best results will be had when combined with good support and lighting systems of course, but this little camera and it's accompanying software is simple and easy to use for even technical luddites.
The only real negative I can think of for this camera is that there is no option to add an external microphone. Your audio levels will vary considerably if you mix shots that have people speaking to the camera and from behind the camera... such as in a "Home Tour" video.
I checked "Zoom range/performance" in the Pros section and want to elaborate on that... I did so because it is very limited, which I believe serves this camera and it's purpose well. Expanded zoom ranges on these little digital cameras lead non-pros to do way too much zooming with shaky results. This camera doesn't overuse digital zoom.

This is probably one of the easiest devices to use. Very simple to operate and hardly and features to chose between, which can be a bad thing.
Low light video quality renders the HD quality useless in many indoor situations. Semi-slow frame rate, even outdoors, is also a negative.
No mic input is a rough limitation.
No still image like competition.
I use this in addition to my Sony HVR-Z7U at weddings for a second angle. Better than nothing.

It is a great, compact camera for shooting for uploading to the web or quick and easy videos. I use it my classroom (media production) for work that is meant to end up on youtube or Vimeo.
Wish it had a battery level indicator.
It does not come with a wall charger and it must be plugged into the computer to recharge. Can also use standard Double A batteries.
Light, sturdy, decent for the size and ease of us. Mac recognizes the camera as soon as it is plugged in - easily just drop files.

I really like this camera. It has a sleek look to it, and is very very easy to use. It gives good quality. We ordered 16 of these for our University students. My only issue has been that it is difficult for the students to upload their videos because the HD file size is so huge. There is apparently some way to compress the file in flip share but it isnt a simple click of the button. Therefore our students are putting their work on CDs now. Other than that still really like this video camera.

The Flip UltraHD camcorder is so easy to use and a great all around camcorder. As the person in charge of creating web content for a college, I purchased the Flip UltraHD for my department to make student videos and event videos. We have already used the camcorder for both and it did well. The videos are sharp. The only problems I have come across are low light and zoom. It doesn't do too well in low light situations, but then again most camcorders don't. It also doesn't have a lot of zooming capabilities. Still, those problems do not outweigh its pros. I would highly recommend the Flip UltraHD to anyone.

I bought this Camcorder as a birthday gift for someone. I had only read about the Flip on the B & H website. My grandson's grandpa needed something easy to use and this camera sounded just right for him. Anyhow my grandson was excited when he saw it he said they use the Flip in there classroom at school. He totally knew how to use it and set it up for his grandpa to use. So I'm assuming he likes it I haven't heard any complaints. I'm probably going to buy myself one in the near future. Then I can let you know how I like it.

I bought this camera to capture moments of my two year old. I love this camera. Its so easy and fun to use. The display is a good size to be able to watch your videos on as well, its light weight and can easily be taken anywhere.
The only negative is the zoom is slow but you eventually get there!

The Flipcam takes good video, and is easy to transfer files to your computer.
Only feature I wish could be made is an image stabilizer so that the picture wouldn't be so shaky, I can take a little shakiness but this is like "earthquake" footage because there is absolutely no image stabilizer in the flipcam, which might help keep the cost down.
