The Flip Video Ultra Camcorder (White) is easy to use, and free from the sticker shock of more traditional camcorders. There are no complicated menus or settings to navigate and no delicate media to worry about. With basic functions and a fixed focus lens all you need to do is point the camera and shoot. It's that simple.
The Ultra features a 4GB internal flash memory that can hold up to 120 minutes of standard definition, full VGA, 30fps MPEG4 video. A 2" LCD display provides a platform on which to compose and playback your footage, while easy to understand controls keep recording simple. Controls include: record, playback, pause, fast-forward, rewind, zoom, and delete.
The footage you capture is recorded in an Internet friendly format, meaning that it's ready to share online without any fuss. When you're done shooting connect the flip out USB arm to your computer and let the built-in FlipShare software guide you through the process of posting to social networking sites, editing, emailing, and more.

We use the Flip Video to record Best Practices, Management Messages, Training Sessions and much more, which we share on a "U-Tube" type system. Once the message/instruction is recorded, we download from the Flip Video, saving the recording on the hard drive and download the recording to our U-Tube system, allowing the entire company to view the message. This little device clearly picks-up voices and even in low light – the clarity is impressive. A good buy for the price.

I have used Flip video cameras before, two I bought about 1 1/2 years ago, with great satisfaction. In contrast to my older cameras which had AVI file extensions, this camera uses mp4 files which cannot be used in the Windows xp movie maker. So I made a movie with the Flip program and this movie cannot be transferred to a DVD. So this camera has become useless to me. I just came back from a trip to SE Asia and the 2 hrs of videos I took I cannot transfer as a movie to a DVD to keep and send to friends. Before you buy this camera, find out if you can use the videos in the program you want.

We have 3 kids, and until we bought the Flip we were always saying that we didn't take enough video of them. Now that has all changed. This camera is so easy to use that we whip out the camera every time something funny or cute is happening. We only have to hit 2 buttons, power & record, and we're rolling!
It is key to get a model that has 2 hours worth of memory. 1 hour isn't enough- you'd be surprised how fast you can fill it up. We also have a "real" video camera for longer or more "important" events, but this is perfect for on-the-fly fun recording.
We love the Flip Ultra HD!

Haven't had a chance to use it much,yet! I've only had it about a week. But instructions do provide simple instructions on it's use. Took some pictures on Christmas day and had fun with that. Know I will use it alot more as time goes by.

This Flip is a great little video camera. The benefits are it's small size, ease of use, and image quality (although the HD version is even better). The battery life seems quite good, and since it runs on AA batteries there's no charger to take up space in the case, and batteries can be replaced at any convenience store. The camera also includes a flip out USB connector the plugs directly into the computer (no cord/cable needed!) and the built-in video editing software stays in the camera's memory, so you can edit your movies on any computer! There's even a tripod socket in the bottom.
The major downside is that the memory is limited, and so taking this on long trips would either require very selective shooting, or bringing along a laptop of some sort to enable clearing the memory.

The best feature is its' compact size (fits in your shirt pocket). Also, you just simply point and shoot. I bought this camera in early December and used it all thru Christmas videoing my two year old sing Christmas carols etc. It is small and easy to use. On Christmas morning I recorded my son and did not have to worry about taking pictures because later when I downloaded to my computer I made snapshots from the video. Still trying to determine how good the quality of the pictures are and I just ordered a photo calendat using some of them so I will find out soon enough. Great Buy.

This is all they say it is. I was amazed at the picture and sound quality. Convenience is what this product is all about. Incredibly EASY to use. The design is impeccable, the size is just right. I like the fact that it takes standard batteries for operation. The rechargeable batteries always wear out. Buy it if you want to do yourself a favor.

I have it in my coat pocket right now. Easy to use, got to remember to hold it steady though. Very good picture quality. Not HD, but more than $100 less than the HD version. Two hours of video! Very cool.
