This little machine is great for travel when you want Internet access and not much else. You can shop and log on from any Wi-Fi location. The battery has good life and I can charge my phone from the USB ports. I had to buy a little DVD reader to load software and some games. You'll need one to load extra applications and if you need more computing power and a CD/DVD RW drive you might consider a low cost laptop. I have a desktop at home and this is great for travel and access at a coffee shop.

The Asus 1008HA works very well, the N280 processor is fast and strong enough to use on everyday tasks like Word, Excel, and normal activities on the Web like Email and going to my favorite sites.
I wanted more memory and found out just what had to be done to add memory, very difficult, there is no door to add memory.
Where this computer fails is on video and audio, especially when you are trying to stream from Hulu or Youtube etc. It's just not powerful enough to play the video content without the stutter.
Great little computer with failings.

I recently bought a 1008ha and totally love the slim casing, and how it can just fit into my handbag. Ultra portable!
I bought it for overseas travel. Generally I can get about 3 hours battery out of it, not the advertised 6. (Though I use it with the 'super high performace & full brightness. I purchased a skin for it, as the top is very finger-print prone. The speakers work well for movies and popular music, though they do not go quite high enough to listen to classical music.
