The HDK-7 from Heil Sound is a dynamic microphone kit ideal for use with a drum set. The kit includes a single PR 48 dynamic kick drum microphone, 2 PR 28 tom mics, a pair of PR 22 dynamic mics, a pair of PR 30B dynamic mics, and 2 HH-1 tom drum mounts. A handy black carrying case is included for carrying all of the equipment.
PR 48 Dynamic Cardioid Kick Drum Microphone
The PR 48 from Heil Sound is a professional-quality dynamic kick drum microphone that provides highly accurate sound reproduction. Designed for a life of professional use, the mic has a large 1.5" dynamic diaphragm sealed in a vulcanized shock mount to minimize handling noise. The capsule has a cardioid pickup pattern to reject off-axis noise. A specially designed low-pass filter provides a 10dB boost in the 60-100Hz range, which is where the kick drum has the most resonance. The mic has a metal housing with a slanted XLR entrance for easy cable connection.

PR 28 Dynamic Drum Microphone
The PR 28 from Heil Sound is a professional-quality dynamic microphone ideal for use with drums. The mic has a large dynamic element with a cardioid pickup pattern to reject off-axis noise. A shockmount inside the mic's die-cast alloy body provides excellent isolation for the mic element. The mic offers a wide frequency response, with a +4dB rise around 4kHz to improve the presence of tom drums without needing outboard EQ.
The PR 28 is compatible with the patent-pending HH-1 tom drum mounting system (sold separately), which mounts right onto the rim of a tom or snare.
Robust die-cast alloy body
Large 1.25" dynamic element
Internal shockmount for excellent isolation
Cardioid pickup pattern rejects off-axis sounds
High SPL capability captures loud sound sources without distortion
The black PR 22 Dynamic Cardioid Handheld Microphone from Heil Sound can be used to mic anything from vocals to snare drums. Heil has developed the patent-pending IsoBand technology, which uses a Sorbothane rubber suspension system in order to eliminate low frequency handling noise. The mic uses a special low-mass NdFeB diaphragm and a large voice coil assembly to provide exceptional performance, including a cardioid pickup pattern with excellent off-axis rejection.
The microphone produces a very linear pattern and reduces proximity effect. It can also be used in extremely high sound pressure applications, and is virtually immune to overload conditions. A leatherette carrying bag, microphone clip, and 3 metal windscreens (black, silver, and gold) are included.
