The Celestron #93985 Rechargeable SkyScout Speaker allows an observer or group of observers to easily hear the SkyScout's narratives, and can be hung around your neck with the included nylon lanyard and extension cable. Its internal li-ion battery recharges from your computer's USB port, and this little speaker has been thoroughly tested to assure that it does not affect the SkyScout's pointing accuracy.

After using the SkyScout with headphones I desired the need to share the audio with others who were scouting the skies with me! This product is the perfect companion for the skyscout.
It has low magnetic interference with the skyscout which is extremely important so that the skyscout GPS does not get altered.
The quality of construction is good, battery life is good, and sound quality is good.
I would have preferred that the 3.5mm extension cable had a right angled end, so that it doesn't get in the way when you are looking through the SkyScout. However, this is not a show stopper.
Overall very happy with the product and would recommend to others to purchase when they get a SkyScout.
