Comments about Motorola MR355R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):
I have not owned walkie talkies since I was a kid. They have evolved into a very high tech device with lots of features. I bought these for my son after he got some toy ones for his birthday that are useless. We have not fully learned all of the features but I tested driving from home to work. I was able to clearly communicate to inside of the house at about 5 miles if I was at a high enough elevation. I would lose communication when I went below hills. Weather radio and built in light are cool. Have not used enough yet to give 5 stars.

The radios have a ton of features. One of the radio flashlights were not working on arrival. B&H took care of this immediately. Voice quality seems to be good.

Comments about Motorola MR355R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):
Used by a hunting group in very hilly iron country, reliable reception is a prime consideration. These Motorola units have performed admirably, even at the fringe of the range we use them at. Never more than 5 miles apart, we've been disappointed by competitors 18-20 mile units.
While still relatively new, Motorola was chosen on the history of their quality and range of accessories. Our use has shown that heavy use is better powered by alkaline or lithium batteries rather than the rechargeable pack that come with the units.

Comments about Motorola MR355R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):
This product seems adequate but not ideal for our organization's needs. We use it to communicate throughout the large building our company occupies. It's a very nice looking product and fairly easy to learn to use. It's also fairly easy to use once you figure this out, and nicely constructed.
