Comments about Motorola MJ270R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):

Flashlight and weather radio, as well as the SOS call are just some of the great qualities about these radios. I like to use them for long bike rides, as well as for when we go to areas that are large and need to be apart, like the Zoo, etc.
There is nothing I don't like so far.

Comments about Motorola MJ270R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):

I use the product during location photo shoot. Usualy have to call the assistant cellphone to talk when they are far away from me. Now I use those radios and they go far on open field. I tested inside a building and could talk to the other radio for more than 25 flors!!!

Nice range of channels and wheather forecast as well.

It comes with a nice charging station to charge them both ate the same time

Only thing I did not enjoy 100% it´s the battery. Did not last more than 24 hours even on standby.

Comments about Motorola MJ270R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):

These radios were purchased to replace an aging wireless intercom system at a prominent recital hall in the southeastern US. I have yet to dive into the various settings, but am very impressed with them so far; except for one issue:

I purchased these with the Motorola 53725 headsets with microphones and had to use a rubber band to keep the plug in the jack. If it falls out the radio needs to be turned off and on again to get it to work. A minor issue that is easily fixed.

Comments about Motorola MJ270R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):

Bought them to go with two other, older Talkabouts for use at events. They worked out pretty well. God signal and, when paired with the motrola headset, was a good communications solution for a low budget, non-profit company like ours.

It works better than the 12 miles I used to have! But don´t expect miracles with it! You reach 1 mile (maximum) in indoors places! It´s great for shopping with your wife (when you wanna see others interesting things than clothes)! It works with AA alkaline and Li-on battery (comes together)! It´s a little big and doesn´t match in the pocket but you can hang in your belt!

Comments about Motorola MJ270R Talkabout Two-Way Radio (Pair):

I bought these radios to use on an out of state hunting trip. They worked fine, clear sound, relatively easy to use after reading the instructions. I especially wanted the volume control knob that these have. I actually used the weather alert feature while driving home in a storm. I will also use these to find my wife in the mall.
