I bought this for my Contour GPS camera. Works as well as the original battery.
In the Contour GPS model, if you leave it in idle mode, with GPS on, around 32-35 degrees F (0-2 C), it will drain in about 3 hours without taking any video. It takes several hours to recharge again. As a result, you want to carry at least one extra battery.
Easily fits in my ski jacket's inside pocket with an extra memory card.

Beware of battery life!
Battery life only lasts reliably 35 minutes at 60fps. Plan for this!

Comments about ContourHD Battery (3.7V, 1050mAh):
I use my contour HD for road course racing and usually I run the camera two days. Usually the first battery will last me throughout the first day into the second, but by mid 2nd day, it's time to change out for the backup battery. Really good investment for an awesome camera!

With a limited batter life when using full HD on the Contour camera, it is necessary to buy a spare battery to avoid missing shots. Works perfectly with the Contour HD 1080p.

Extra battery is a must for any videographer...use it or not...it's there if you need it.
