Comments about Contour USB Battery Charger:
If you are using a Contour HD camera you will save yourself some charging time buy using this product. I really like that you can use it with any USB source. Whether a car charger, wall wart or a computer. I have a bunch of Contour cameras and these chargers are a life saver to get them ready to run again later.

Comments about Contour USB Battery Charger:
This thing fell apart after falling 6 inches onto a carpet. That being said, I taped it back together and it worked as advertised. One nice thing about it is that you can use any micro-usb phone charger to plug it into a regular wall socket. The problem with that is it uses the old style micro-usb plug. Good thing I saved on from an old blackberry.

Comments about Contour USB Battery Charger:
I bought this in error. I can use it with the USB/AC adaptor for my iPhone and there are other ways to power it on AC. I can also use it with a universal battery supply for an Aaxa pico projector that has a 5v USB output. Or I can use it as designed and charge batteries off of my computer, but it's usually not convenient to run my computer just to recharge batteries and if I'm doing something else on my computer, I usually need my USB ports.
Contour HD also makes a wall charger which would be more convenient for my purposes, although a USB/AC adaptor is a more economical solution. But I cannot comment on relative speed at recharging. The unit works and could be a useful alternative if you don't have access to AC power, but carrying a spare battery seems more practical.
Contour HD gets really high marks for design efforts in some areas, but there's room for improvement in this area. Another thing I don't like is that the batteries don't have a protective cover to protect the contacts from accidentally shorting out if they come into contact with keys or salt water.
