Terk Technologies FDTV2A Omni Directional Amplified Flat Digital HDTV Antenna (Black)
Did the switch to digital TV broadcasting make it harder to get good over-the-air reception from your HDTV or converter box? If so, you just may need a better antenna, such as the Terk Technologies FDTV2A Omni Directional Amplified Flat Digital HDTV Antenna. The flat, digital indoor antenna employs a high gain design to pick up more distant stations, and its 360° reception pattern means you won't have to keep making adjustments to receive your local channels.
The antenna has an Extremely Low Noise (ELN) amplifier for outstanding digital TV reception without signal saturation. But you can remove the amp if signal strength is not a problem in your area. The attractive black antenna is designed to blend in with your existing TV gear, and the device comes with a 3-way mounting bracket so that it can be used hanging, standing, or lying flat. After installing the FDTV2A Antenna, you'll once again be enjoying excellent reception of your favorite local digital channels.

This replaces another antenna that worked ok but finally died. I went looking for another antenna that was at least as good. After reading the reviews I decided on this one. It is amazing. All the same channels as the more expensive antenna it replaces without having to move it around to get a good picture. Turn on the TV and you get the channels clear. No fuss. No bother.

From the product description and other reviews I thought this antenna would allow me to finally get rid of cable service. However, it proved to be way too weak, almost the same as with no antenna. This was very disappointing since I live only 10 miles from downtown Seattle.

I tried this with 2 different digital-to-analog converters with 2 different TVs it 2 different rooms. I got better reception with old rabbit ears. The amplifier didn't change the signal strength at all.

I bought this product to use with my digital tv,that was my first mistake. Old RCA analog rabbit ears works rings around this piece of junk.
This product is not worth the asking price.

I returned the Terk TV-55 for this smaller indoor only version. I received more channels compared to the TV55. Also, the design and size made it a lot more friendlier hiding it behind my wall mount TV. Only flaw is the cover scratches easily and picks up any finger marks and dust.

Overall, this is the best indoor flat antenna that I've tried. It's very affordable. The reception is pretty good and the amplifier really helps. Due to the nature of compact, indoor antennas, it does require some daily adjustments, but overall I'm very happy with it.

I was skeptical that this would work in New York City with all of the buildings blocking most signals, but it works really well. I'm not sure I get every channel, as there are a few that go in and out, but a lot of the major networks work fine.

Picks up most of the stations without adjusting. However, if TV flashes "no signal", you have to reposition the antenna and orient it horizontally.
