I needed it to help me when taking picture's of my daughter and dog around are Christmas tree. Worked great. I was able to just sit my flash on a table and adjust as needed.

As a Pentax shooter, I enjoy capturing images in many ways, including taking macro shots using a homemade lightbox. With my K-7 and AF540FGZ flash set so the K-7 engages the flash remotely, I typically aim the lens towards the front of the box and use the 540's fill flash from either side.
Until this simple but effective flash stand arrived, I would need to hold the flash in my right hand and engage the K-7 shutter with a wireless remote trigger in my left. Too many things to hold.
Now the flash unit sits on the desk alongside the lightbox, leaving me an extra hand to manage camera adjustments like fine-tuning manual focus or repositioning the object to improve the shot.
