i love these set-ups, i've been using them for years.
i really like the menu options on the g3 that the g2 did not have! easy to use and sound quality is great.
i'll be investing in some upgrading mics for the transmitter and receiver at some point, but the ones that come on it are really nice sound quality. We use them for national commercials. For the money i would not go any other way. does not ship with a case.

These wireless mic units are good for run and gun situations. They are also good for interviews, and other close range coverage. I wouldn't recommend them if you need a great deal of range from your subjects.

The most important thing here is the bhphotovideo service. I did not use any of this systems before, by mistake order the wrong frecuency and does not work in my area. So, review your better frecuency before you get the system.

Very user friendly and accessible to even the most inexperienced sound person but capable to accomplish goals for high end recording too. They have a great range, are durable and are a perfect tool for recording interviews.

While the microphone is not the top of the line, it produces a very clear recording and definitely works very well for controlled settings. I could recommend getting a better mic if you think you want something a little sharper or believe you will be competing against background noises often.

They are easy to attach to a person on the move and work well; though slightly hard to hide away if you think the person will be overly active. Though would recommend any wireless setup if that is the case.

Best option for you money.

The Sennheiser EW112-p G3 Wireless Microphone is an excellent microphone system for Wedding/ENG videographers. It's a two part transmitter/receiver module that's about the same thickness and width as a pack of cigarettes, but not as tall. The body pack transmitter is powered by two AA alkaline batteries, and can be hidden inconspicuously on the person being miked. A very sensitive omnidirectional lavalier microphone is included which screws into the transmitter, preventing accidental removal. The microphone can be attached where convenient with an included clamp. The receiver module also is powered by two AA batteries. An included mini stereo cable connects from the receiver's output (screw type connector) to your camcorder's microphone input. Opening up the receiver/transmitter by means of a handy top door reveals an on-off switch to power on the units. An orange LCD screen shows the transmit/receive frequency, signal strength, and battery life. A handy hot shoe adapter allows you to attach the receiver to your camcorders hot shoe. The receiver/transmitter work on the diversity principle, so high quality interference-free audio is always available. We use this product for health and wellness instructors to where while we shoot with 2 cameras in a yoga studio. We have used a moderate quality lavalier for previous shoots and the reception and sensitivity was excruciating in post. The Sennheiser changed the game. No longer having to think about our quality getting lost anywhere within a 30 minute "live to tape" sequence. Stress has been lifted since we purchased this item. Sliding right on top of our Canon XF100, T3i, as well as our previous camera, the Panasonice AG AC 130, the Sennheiser looks good and works well. Portable, durable, subtle, and strong, we are very pleased with this microphone set.

I've got no complaints about these. You can use the clip or hide it in clothing with tape and some pads and it sounds amazing. I had a set stolen and I'm replacing it with the a duplicate pair.

I'm very happy with this product. The battery will last a while and easy to change them for rechargeable. The distance is super, and the frequency doesn't get any interference.

I do have some trouble cliping the mic from time to time as the clip is kind of weird, but maybe its because i have little experience in there. For example, t-shirts stink, but dress shirts to pin down the buttons is fine. Maybe its just me but otherwise the device is amazing with crisp audio. Cant complain- I route it to my ZOOM h4n through the XLR (1) and then have to use MTR mode there because its not dual, but it works perfect.

These lavs are good and pretty easy to use. I wish the antenna was replaceable though. I live in the Bay Area and I've had some troubles getting a clear signal. So far they've served their purpose.

I have one set of these, and have found out to my delight, that you may connect a shotgun mic to the transmitter, in lieu of the included lavalier mic. This makes for a very acceptable wireless area microphone.

Great kit, very durable, good sound, fantastic range. Only minor drawback is the battery life but if you want to shell out for the Sennheiser rechargable pack that improves. I use these for on location video shoots where mobility is key and I never know how far away the talent might wander.

I one of these wireless systems along side a couple of comparable Sony UWP systems, and I must admit that I do like the Sennheiser a bit more. The menu is simpler to navigate, and the unit feels a bit more sturdy. The sound quality is about the same, but if I had to buy another system tomorrow, I would go with this one over the Sony.
